Regional Director
SoftConstruct is looking for a Regional Director to lead and scale its iGaming operations from Cyprus. This executive role will own regional strategy, P&L performance, market expansion, and operational execution while building strategic B2B partnerships across Cyprus and key European markets.
The Regional Director will supervise all regional functions, including sales, account management, marketing, legal, compliance, and technical support based out of the Cyprus hub. The role involves collaborating with product and engineering teams to ensure platforms and gaming solutions meet specific technical, cultural, and regulatory demands.
This role also requires staying ahead of rapidly evolving gambling regulations, licensing requirements, and tax frameworks across Cyprus and target European regions. Partnering with legal and compliance teams is essential to ensure all operations, platform integrations, and client agreements adhere strictly to local laws and responsible gaming standards.
Direct communication to the CEO is expected, providing comprehensive monthly and quarterly reports on regional performance, market trends, competitive intelligence, and financial forecasts. The Regional Director will also act as the primary regional spokesperson during executive meetings and industry events.
- Design and execute the overarching regional growth strategy to capture market share across Cyprus and key European/Mediterranean jurisdictions.
- Take full ownership of the regional budget, revenue targets, and profitability metrics, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Identify, secure, and manage high-value tier-1 B2B operator clients, strategic partnerships, and joint ventures.
- Supervise all regional functions, including sales, account management, marketing, legal, compliance, and technical support based out of the Cyprus hub.
- Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to ensure IT platforms, betting software, and gaming solutions meet the specific technical, cultural, and regulatory demands of the market.
- Set clear KPIs for regional teams, fostering a high-performance culture aligned with corporate objectives.
- Stay ahead of rapidly evolving gambling regulations, licensing requirements (such as National Betting Authority frameworks), and tax frameworks across Cyprus and target European regions.
- Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure all operations, platform integrations, and client agreements adhere strictly to local laws and responsible gaming standards.
- Provide comprehensive monthly and quarterly reports on regional performance, market trends, competitive intelligence, and financial forecasts directly to the CEO.
- Act as the primary regional spokesperson during executive meetings and industry events.
- Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, finance, management or any related field. (required)
- At least 8 years of executive leadership experience within the iGaming, online gambling, sports betting, or B2B iGaming technology sectors. (required)
- Proven, demonstrable success scaling tech or iGaming operations within Cyprus and the broader European market, with an established local industry network. (required)
- Demonstrated ability to hit aggressive growth targets, manage P&Ls, and close complex enterprise-level agreements. (required)
- Strong understanding of iGaming platforms, sports betting APIs, payment gateways, and player account management (PAM) systems. (required)
- Deep familiarity with Cyprus gaming jurisdictions, licensing processes, and compliance mandates. (required)
- Exceptional cross-cultural leadership skills with the ability to manage on-site and multi-disciplinary teams from the Cyprus office. (required)
- Full professional proficiency in English. (required)
