Senior Accounting and Reporting Specialist
SoftConstruct is looking for a Senior Accounting and Reporting Specialist to join its Financial Department. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience, a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, and knowledge of IFRS. The role requires strong knowledge of Excel and Arm Soft, the ability to manage complex financial data and ensure accuracy, and fluency in Armenian and English.
The specialist will be responsible for recording financial transactions in compliance with IFRS, local regulations, and accounting policy. This includes performing general accounting functions, reconciling and analyzing general ledger accounts, and maintaining month-end and year-end closing processes. The role also involves ensuring proper documentation, supporting audit processes, and implementing improvements in accounting processes to enhance efficiency. Collaboration with finance teams to ensure data integrity and consistency is essential, as is providing mentorship and guidance to team members. Ad hoc projects and tasks may also be assigned.
- Record financial transactions in compliance with IFRS, local regulations, and accounting policy.
- Perform general accounting functions including accounting postings of daily operations related to bank statements, payment systems, trade receivables and payables, payment systems, B2C and B2B operations, loans, revenue and expenses.
- Reconcile, analyze, and resolve questions regarding assigned general ledger accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepare and maintain trial balance, general ledger, and journal entries.
- Maintain month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure proper documentation and adherence to accounting policy and internal control processes.
- Provide and receive continuous transfer of data to outsource accounting companies.
- Support and coordinate internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Support and implement improvements in accounting processes to enhance efficiency.
- Work with financial data across different systems for improved accuracy and control.
- Work closely with finance teams to ensure data integrity and consistency.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members.
- Maintain ad hoc projects and tasks upon request.
- Carry out other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor that align with the job description and comply with the labor code.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience (required).
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (required).
- Knowledge of IFRS (required).
- Strong knowledge of Excel (required).
- Knowledge of Arm Soft (required).
- Ability to manage complex financial data and ensure accuracy (required).
- Fluency in Armenian and English (required).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting (required).
- Proficiency in accounting and financial software (Excel, ArmSoft) (required).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills (required).
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines (required).
