Senior Payment Risks Manager
The Senior Payment Risks Manager will be responsible for overseeing payment security and risk mitigation within the betting and gaming environment. This role involves monitoring transaction activity, identifying potential fraud, and ensuring that all operations align with regulatory standards and internal risk management policies. The position requires a proactive approach to analysing complex data to protect the company from financial threats while maintaining a seamless experience for customers.
- Examine the customers betting history and payment activity, review their history and provide recommendation on actions to the team lead / take actions accordingly.
- Knowledge of the Payment Providers by regions and how they work.
- Analyze and monitor transactions, risk exposures to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Assist in ensuring that the company complies with relevant risk management standards / regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement risk control measures and best practices.
- Investigate risk-related incidents, preparing detailed reports with findings and suggested actions.
- Utilize data analytics tools to track key risk indicators and provide insights for decision-making.
- Support in developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
- Review and execute the inquiries/tasks assigned.
- Carry out other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor, which are in line with the job description and do not contradict the labor code.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (required).
- Good knowledge/understanding of the game / betting rules (incl. the terminology what is WL, TK, Regulated Market, API, NGR, GGR, etc.) (required).
- Proven ability to analyze complex data, identify emerging fraud trends, assess systemic risks, and design robust mitigation strategies (required).
- Expert-level ability to proactively identify and assess triggers or vulnerabilities that could lead to material risk exposure (required).
- Deep understanding of global payment regulations, advanced anti-fraud methodologies, and strict compliance frameworks (required).
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in high-velocity environments while managing competing, high-priority projects efficiently (required).
- Exceptional communication skills with full professional proficiency in English (both written and spoken fluency is preferred) (preferred).
- Monitoring of Irrational/High-Risk Wagering Patterns (required).
- Regulatory Compliance & Financial Crime Governance (required).
- Advanced Data Analysis & Executive Reporting (required).
- Risk Strategy & Operations: Real-Time Transaction Monitoring, Fraud Detection, Deposit/Withdrawal Velocity Triage, Chargeback Representment (required).
- Behavioral & Game Analytics: Anti-Bonus Abuse Systems, Collusion & Chip-Dumping Detection, Player Risk Profiling (required).
- Compliance & Governance: AML/CTF Mandates, Responsible Gaming (RG) Triggers, Sanctions/PEP Screening (required).
- Tools & Analytics: Advanced MS Excel (Modeling), PowerPoint (Executive Briefings), Payment Provider Back-office (required).
