System Administrator
SoftConstruct is on the search for a new player to join its team as a System Administrator.
The role involves maintaining and administering company IT systems, servers, and networks to ensure optimal performance.
Responsibilities include installing, configuring, and updating operating systems, software, and security patches, as well as monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues.
The System Administrator will manage user accounts, access controls, and IT security policies, ensuring data backups, disaster recovery plans, and system redundancy are in place.
Collaboration with IT teams to improve infrastructure efficiency and scalability, documentation of system configurations, and providing technical support and training to employees are also key aspects of the role.
- Maintain and administer company IT systems, servers, and networks to ensure optimal performance.
- Install, configure, and update operating systems, software, and security patches.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions.
- Manage user accounts, access controls, and IT security policies.
- Ensure data backups, disaster recovery plans, and system redundancy are in place.
- Collaborate with IT teams to improve infrastructure efficiency and scalability.
- Document system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guidelines.
- Provide technical support and training to employees on system-related matters.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. (required)
- 3+ years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT role. (required)
- Proficiency in managing enterprise IT infrastructure and system configurations. (required)
- Strong understanding of network administration and cybersecurity measures. (required)
- Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python) is a plus. (nice-to-have)
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems. (required)
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services. (required)
- Experience with network protocols, firewalls, and security best practices. (required)
- Ability to diagnose and resolve system performance issues. (required)
