Description

SOFTSWISS is expanding its analytics team and is looking for a Data Analyst to help gain full visibility into the performance of its products. The role is focused on analysing key product and business metrics, user behaviour, and performance changes.

SOFTSWISS seeks an analyst who can work confidently with data, identify meaningful insights, and translate them into clear recommendations for product and business teams. The successful candidate will analyse product and business metrics, study user behaviour across different stages of the customer journey, and uncover the root causes behind performance changes. They will work with SQL and BI tools to prepare data, build reporting, investigate anomalies, and provide ad-hoc analytical support to stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Analyse key product and business metrics, including user activity, retention, conversion, revenue-related metrics, and other core KPIs.
  • Study user behaviour across the customer journey through cohort, funnel, and lifecycle analysis.
  • Work with databases: extract, join, and prepare data for analysis using SQL.
  • Build and maintain reporting and BI dashboards (preferably in Tableau) for product and management needs.
  • Investigate anomalies and performance deviations - identify problems and diagnose their root causes.
  • Run ad-hoc analyses for product and leadership teams to support tactical and strategic decisions.
  • Monitor data quality and consistency across product and financial data.
  • Document metric definitions, analytical approaches, and key findings.
Requirements
  • 3+ years as a Data Analyst / Product Analyst / Operations Analyst (required)
  • Strong analytical thinking and the ability to interpret numbers in a business context (required)
  • Solid understanding of core analytics concepts: funnels, cohorts, retention, and lifecycle metrics (required)
  • Ability to translate business questions into analytical tasks and explain results clearly to non-technical stakeholders (required)
  • SQL: confident reading and writing analytical queries (joins, aggregations, window functions) (required)
  • Experience with BI tools, ideally Tableau (required)
  • Fluent Russian, both spoken and written (required)
  • English B2, both spoken and written (required)
  • Experience in iGaming / fintech / B2B SaaS (nice-to-have)
  • Understanding of product and business unit economics, including revenue drivers, conversion, retention, customer value, and profitability metrics (nice-to-have)
  • Basic statistics: confidence intervals, p-values, common pitfalls in experiment interpretation (nice-to-have)
  • Experience with ClickHouse (nice-to-have)
  • Python for analytics (nice-to-have)
