Technical Writer Middle
SOFTSWISS is looking for a Technical Writer to join the team. In this role, the successful candidate will work on a wide range of user and technical documentation, helping the company deliver clear, useful, and well-structured content for internal and external audiences.
The role involves creating and maintaining accurate, easy-to-follow documentation to improve the usability and accessibility of systems for diverse user groups. The work will impact the quality and consistency of technical communication across teams by delivering user-centric content and maintaining up-to-date knowledge bases. The Technical Writer will support teams across product, development, and QA with clear documentation that bridges the gap between technical complexity and user clarity.
- Create, edit, and maintain procedural documentation including but not limited to user guides, how-tos, and tutorials.
- Create, edit, and maintain technical documentation, including API documentation.
- Create release notes.
- Work closely with writers, developers, product owners, business analysts, QA team, and others.
- Proficiency in English (C1 or higher) (required).
- Russian at B2 level (required).
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in technical documentation (required).
- Expertise in fintech domain (required).
- Docs-as-code experience (required).
- Proven experience in writing user guides in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences (required).
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Style Guide, Google Style Guide, or similar (required).
- Experience in API writing, familiarity with API documentation tools (required).
- Experience with Git (required).
- Experience working with Cursor, VS Code, or similar dev tools (required).
- Experience in writing release notes (required).
- Proficiency with managing Confluence content (required).
- English not lower than C1 and higher (required).
- Experience in writing and proofreading of content, especially technology-related content (required).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (required).
- Critical thinking (required).
- Must be a self-motivator who works well independently and in a team environment with little or no direct supervision (required).
- Ability to influence and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical people (required).
