Description

The Client Partner – Inside Sales, Small & Medium Business, plays a key role in growing and retaining Sportradar’s portfolio of small and medium-sized business clients. The role involves managing a diverse customer portfolio, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and identifying opportunities to expand the use of Sportradar’s products and services.

Sportradar expects the individual to own the commercial relationship throughout the customer lifecycle, from renewal discussions and customer engagement to upselling, cross-selling, and proactive account development. This position is suited for a professional who enjoys combining relationship management, consultative selling, and commercial ownership within a fast-paced, international sports technology environment.

Responsibilities
  • Own and actively develop a portfolio of +50 small and medium-sized business clients.
  • Build trusted relationships with customers through regular, proactive engagement via phone, video meetings, email and in person meetings.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including opportunity identification, qualification, needs analysis, proposal development, negotiation and closing.
  • Lead renewal discussions and take proactive measures to reduce churn and strengthen customer retention.
  • Identify and develop upsell and cross-sell opportunities across the customer portfolio.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline by using a structured and consistent approach to account planning and opportunity management.
  • Respond to customer enquiries quickly and professionally, providing commercially sound solutions aligned with the needs of the SMB segment.
  • Understand customer goals, challenges and business models in order to position Sportradar’s products and services as relevant business solutions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information, activities, opportunities and next steps in the CRM system.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and successful implementation of commercial initiatives.
  • Contribute to the continuous development of Sportradar’s sales approach, processes and programs for the small and medium-sized business segment.
  • Identify opportunities for account growth and support the successful transition of customers into the next account segment when appropriate.
  • Share customer insights, market feedback and best practices with the wider commercial team.
  • Take ownership of agreed sales targets, activity levels, pipeline development and revenue growth.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Sports Management or a related field - or equivalent practical experience (required).
  • Initial experience in sales, account management, business development, partnerships or a customer-facing commercial role (required).
  • Previous experience in Sales, Account Executive, Account Management and heavy driven commercial roles (required).
  • Experience managing a high-volume customer portfolio in a target-oriented environment (required).
  • Experience with renewals, retention, upselling and cross-selling (required).
  • Experience working with CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot or similar platforms (required).
  • Familiarity with consultative selling, pipeline management and sales forecasting (required).
  • Strong interest in building customer relationships and driving measurable business results (required).
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to engage professionally with different customer stakeholders (required).
  • Consultative and customer-oriented sales approach (required).
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts, opportunities and priorities in a structured and organised way (required).
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to identify customer growth opportunities (required).
  • Strong attention to detail and appreciation for CRM systems, data quality and structured sales processes (required).
  • Ability to manage sales cycles from first conversation through negotiation, closing and renewal (required).
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making and issue-resolution skills (required).
  • Self-motivated, resilient and disciplined, with excellent follow-through (required).
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, international and cross-functional environment (required).
