Engineering Manager
Sportradar is looking for an Engineering Manager to join the Scout Admin team. This role focuses on leading and nurturing a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality technical solutions. The position requires a balance of people management and hands-on technical contribution to complex systems.
The Scout Admin team is responsible for developing and maintaining the core administrative platform that powers the management of scouts, events, and data collection workflows. The Engineering Manager will guide the team in implementing modern product development techniques, managing technical debt, and aligning engineering efforts with the strategic goals of the Live Data unit.
- Leading a team of talented software engineers with different levels of expertise, managing other managers, and maintaining a focus on the domain and technology stack.
- Working collaboratively with product managers, other leaders, and engineers to create the best product for customers.
- Dedicating a portion of time to hands-on design and development.
- Coaching engineers to grow in a professional and personal way by providing frequent feedback.
- Preparing short-term and mid-term plans while contributing to the strategic goals and vision of the unit.
- Being responsible for the growth and happiness of team members.
- Ensuring team efficiency and high-quality outcomes by enforcing technical excellence, managing technical debt, and adjusting processes.
