Financial Control & Automation Analyst
Sportradar is seeking a technically-minded finance professional to join the Corporate FP&A team. The primary mission of this role is to build the digital infrastructure necessary to automate the month-end reporting cycle, consolidate financial logic, and eliminate manual data processing. The analyst will serve as a vital link between the company's high-speed commercial growth and its financial accuracy requirements.
The role involves developing a deep understanding of existing processes and reporting rhythms to streamline and automate them effectively. The analyst will be responsible for ensuring financial data integrity while implementing systemic governance to enforce budgetary compliance across the organisation.
- Identify and streamline repetitive manual activities across the month-end cycle, including accruals, revenue-share calculations, cost reconciliations, and reporting processes.
- Use tools like Power Automate, Python, Power BI, or Abacum to automate data flows between the ERP, Jira, and reporting layers.
- Support the improvement of approval and control processes by embedding financial logic and governance directly into systems and workflows.
- Improve the consolidated month-end cycle by building diagnostic tools that flag variances in real-time.
- Build automated audit agents that cross-reference contract data with actual spend to identify leakages or accrual risks.
- Support and manage month-end close activities across operating expenditure, including the preparation and review of invoices, accruals, and related system entries.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for external auditors and the Global Controller.
- Define and enforce data contracts between Accounting and FP&A to ensure that actuals arrive clean, mapped, and ready for analysis.
- Support and strengthen SOX controls and audit processes by improving the reliability, traceability, and consistency of financial data and reporting workflows.
- Proficiency in SQL (Redshift/BigQuery) or a proven ability to learn technical data structures quickly (required).
- Ability to pull and join data and build visualisations in Power BI (required).
- Experience with or a strong desire and proven ability to learn n8n, Python, or other workflow automation tools (required).
- Experience with modern FP&A platforms such as Abacum, Pigment, or Anaplan (required).
- Experience with ERP environments (required).
- Advanced Excel skills for prototyping logic (required).
- 1-3 years of experience in Financial Control, FP&A, or Finance Operations (required).
- Background in a high-growth tech, sports data, or betting environment (nice-to-have).
- Business, Finance, or other appropriate degree (required).
