Description

Working within the Rights & Revenue Protection (RRP) team, the Intelligence Analyst, Blockchain & Crypto will support investigations relating to the protection and enforcement of Sportradar's intellectual property and revenue recovery efforts through blockchain intelligence, cryptocurrency tracing, and digital asset investigations.

The role will primarily focus on monitoring and analysing the emerging prediction market ecosystem, including participants, market makers, liquidity providers, and associated entities, to enhance Sportradar's understanding of data and content usage, market activity, and potential commercial risks. The analyst will also support broader investigations involving sports betting operators, digital platforms, and other organisations utilising blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct intelligence investigations using an all-source approach across rights protection, enforcement, and revenue recovery matters.
  • Perform blockchain analysis and cryptocurrency tracing to identify transaction flows, wallet relationships, beneficial owners, and networks of interest.
  • Collect, analyse, and evaluate intelligence from open-source, cyber, and blockchain-based sources.
  • Conduct OSINT, CYBINT/DNINT, and cryptocurrency investigations to deliver actionable intelligence and recommendations.
  • Monitor and analyse prediction market ecosystems, identifying key participants, market makers, liquidity providers, and emerging platforms.
  • Conduct investigations relating to sports-focused prediction markets, including wallet attribution, transaction tracing, and ecosystem mapping.
  • Analyse cryptocurrency transaction data and behavioural patterns to identify links between users, entities, and platforms.
  • Develop and maintain intelligence holdings relating to cryptocurrency-enabled services, exchanges, wallets, and payment methods.
  • Produce intelligence products including analytical assessments, investigative reports, link analysis, and stakeholder briefings.
  • Monitor emerging blockchain technologies, trends, and risks relevant to Sportradar, intellectual property protection, and revenue recovery activities.
  • Support collaboration with internal stakeholders, external partners, and industry organisations.
  • Contribute to the ongoing evaluation and implementation of investigative technologies and blockchain analytics platforms.
Requirements
  • 2+ years' experience in intelligence, investigations, law enforcement, cyber security, financial crime, fraud, due diligence, or digital asset investigations (required).
  • Experience conducting analytical investigations and producing intelligence-led outputs (required).
  • Demonstrable understanding of cryptocurrency ecosystems including Bitcoin, Ethereum, stablecoins, exchanges, wallets, bridges, and decentralised finance (DeFi) (required).
  • Experience using blockchain analytics platforms such as Chainalysis Reactor, TRM Forensics, Elliptic Investigator, or similar (required).
  • Familiarity with the functionality of prediction markets, market makers, and liquidity providers (required).
  • Experience working with APIs and structured data sources to collect, extract, and analyse information from blockchain, prediction market, and other online platforms (required).
  • Proficient and demonstrable expertise in OSINT, CYBINT/DNINT, or intelligence tradecraft methodologies (required).
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills (required).
  • Exceptional report writing and presentation skills (required).
  • Awareness of data protection legislation and associated implications (required).
  • Strict personal standards of confidentiality and security (required).
  • Motivated self-starter with an inquisitive and investigative mindset (required).
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to work to tight deadlines and changing priorities (required).
  • Fluency in English (required).
  • Experience with intelligence analysis tools such as i2 Analyst's Notebook, Maltego, or similar (nice-to-have).
  • Understanding of financial crime typologies, asset tracing, sanctions evasion, and illicit finance risks (nice-to-have).
  • Knowledge of intellectual property enforcement, anti-piracy activities, sports betting, or gaming industries (nice-to-have).
  • Understanding of decentralised applications (dApps), digital asset market structure, and trading ecosystems (nice-to-have).
  • Relevant certifications such as Chainalysis Reactor Certification, TRM Academy, CAMS, CFCS, or CFE (nice-to-have).
  • Additional language skills (nice-to-have).
