People Advisor
The role involves ensuring smooth cooperation with Divisional People Partners, Centres of Excellence, and People Operations, and inputting to processes and ways of working where applicable. The People Advisor will actively drive change in the people teams.
This position partners with Talent Acquisition to scout and build relationships with local stakeholders for recruitment. Collaboration with the People Counsel team is also part of the role.
The People Advisor serves as a point of contact and country subject matter expert for employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances. Guidance is provided to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment laws to ensure compliance and maintain positive employee relations.
Responsibilities include onboarding and offboarding new employees on location, working closely with line managers, talent acquisition teams, local IT points of contact, and responsible divisional partners. Payroll and employment contracts, along with related paperwork, are managed. Relations with local employment financial institutions such as the Labour Office, Health/Social/Pension insurance companies are also managed.
Data must be updated on time and in full in line with contracts and divisional direction, including communication to local payroll for job/cost centre changes, pay increases, and personal data updates. The role requires staying up to date on country, state, and local employment laws and regulations, ensuring HR policies, procedures, and practices follow relevant legislation.
Partnership with Compliance and Risk ensures employee data integrity and the implementation of relevant trainings. Responsibility for Health and Safety compliance requirements locally is also included, building up competencies locally.
Adaptation and implementation of relevant and selected People Strategic initiatives locally is key. Local initiatives on Talents, Learning & Development are also to be ensured. Partnership with local Functional Leaders is required to understand and translate business needs into relevant actions concerning people, culture, and organisation, including local values activation plans and hybrid working.
The role drives engagement, CSR, and DEI activities locally. Initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention are implemented. Partnership with the Divisional People Partner is undertaken to gather employee insights and address areas for improvement. Ways to engage on-site and remote employees are identified.
Support for the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and development planning, is provided. Administration of employee benefits programmes, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other fringe benefits, is overseen. Close work with benefits vendors, brokers, and the people operations team is expected. Support for local trainings and relevant programmes to enhance employee skills and capabilities delivery is also part of the role.
Acts as a subject matter expert internally and liaises internally with Legal and externally with immigration teams on relocation support, including immigration matters where applicable.

- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in HRM or related field, or experience equivalent (required).
- Sound knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations specific to the country (required).
- Customer in centricity, high-level communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills as well as accuracy (required).
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment (required).
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant HR software applications (required).
- German and English fluent (required).
- The minimum monthly salary for this position is according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Overpayment will be considered depending on qualifications and working experience.
