Platform Engineer (m/f/d)
Sportradar is seeking a Platform Engineer to join its engineering enablement team. The role involves building internal products, including an Internal Developer Platform, a central pipeline for the software development lifecycle, an observability platform, and an infrastructure platform for containerised workloads.
The successful candidate will work alongside development teams to design, automate, and scale resilient infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. The focus is on developing reusable frameworks that remove deployment friction, driving engineering best practices, and contributing to automation initiatives that reduce operational risk.
Engage proactively with engineering teams to gather feedback and continuously evolve the platform, tooling, and developer experience.
- Work alongside development teams to design, automate, and scale resilient infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines optimised for rapid, secure delivery.
- Develop reusable frameworks and abstractions that remove friction in deploying, running, and monitoring services.
- Drive the adoption of engineering best practices by mentoring peers, shaping standards, and transforming outdated processes into modern, maintainable solutions.
- Contribute to automation initiatives to minimise manual tasks, reduce operational risk, and ensure consistency across both legacy and new applications.
- Engage proactively with engineering teams to gather feedback and continuously evolve the platform, tooling, and developer experience.
- Experience in software engineering, with hands-on exposure to building and supporting production-grade systems (required).
- Understanding of Kubernetes and cloud platforms (preferably AWS) (preferred).
- Expertise in infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar) (required).
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (Python, Go, Bash, etc.) (required).
- Comprehensive grasp of CI/CD pipelines, observability, and security best practices (required).
