Description

Join our dynamic privacy team at Sportradar and play a crucial role at the intersection of technology, sports, and law. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of sports technology while ensuring compliance with evolving data protection standards. You'll be part of a collaborative team that values innovation and legal excellence.

This is a fixed-term contract position for six months to cover maternity leave. The role is on-site.

Responsibilities
  • Draft and negotiate data protection agreements with clients and vendors, working closely with Senior Privacy Leads. Key focus areas include data processing agreements, joint controllership agreements, and AI-related clauses in commercial contracts.
  • Maintenance and updates of data protection agreements templates in close collaboration with various Product and other operational teams, Legal team and Security team.
  • Collaborate with Privacy team members to deliver strategic privacy guidance to Product teams and operational stakeholders throughout project lifecycles, from initial concept through implementation.
  • Provide regular privacy consultations to ensure data protection requirements are embedded in new initiatives.
  • Process and manage data subject access requests, ensuring timely responses and compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Doing research on legislative developments and requirements in the privacy and data protection area in jurisdictions where Sportradar operates, including North and South America.
  • Providing support and advice on any processes involving negotiation of data protection agreements, including vendor contract management.
  • Supporting the Privacy and AI Governance Analyst on privacy by design and privacy impact assessments, including providing privacy advice on AI related assessments and projects.
  • Supporting the Privacy and AI Governance Specialist on privacy vendor assessments.
Requirements
  • Legal education and qualified lawyer with at least 2 years’ post-qualification experience in a similar role within the privacy/data protection field on an international scale (required).
  • Experience with drafting and negotiating data protection agreements with 3rd parties (required).
  • Experience with management of data subject requests (required).
  • Working knowledge of privacy by design concept (required).
  • Experience with supporting product teams (required).
  • Outstanding communication skills in English (required).
  • Ability to work efficiently with senior stakeholders from different business units (required).
  • Pragmatic and solution-oriented person with the ability to work in fast-paced environment and prioritizing conflicting demands and requests from multiple stakeholders (required).
  • AI privacy knowledge (nice-to-have).
  • IAPP or similar privacy certifications (nice-to-have).
  • Experience with OneTrust (nice-to-have).
  • Passion for privacy, AI, sports and technology (required).
