Product Manager, Production Engineering

Description

Sportradar is seeking a Product Manager for Statistical Calculations to join its Production Engineering Unit. This role focuses on contributing to the shared vision, roadmap, delivery, and maintenance of the company's content technology stack, including interface development, integration, and delivery services for internal customers and consumers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for structuring the feature backlog and planning the delivery of technical solutions. The role requires an individual who thrives on solving complex problems, enjoys working with sports data, and is comfortable collaborating across external teams, internal stakeholders, and customers.

Responsibilities
  • Act as main point of contact for parts of our internal services and interface related inquiries around existing operations, new features and necessary integrations.
  • Drive product decisions based on close collaborations with Product Managers of our internal products, and be responsible for planning, execution, end-to-end delivery and a high-quality outcome.
  • Coordinate initiatives across cross-functional teams in product, design, and operations.
  • Actively maintain the engineering roadmap of owned components together with the technical leadership of the team.
  • Improve technical workflows and operations in close collaboration with the Domain Architect and our operations unit.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in Product Manager work and related methodologies, like Agile or other project management methods (required).
  • Bachelor and/or Master degree in Sports Science, IT, Data science, or relevant experience in Product management (required).
  • Interest in Processes and Data delivery work (required).
  • Interest in Sports and understanding of sport rules (required).
  • AI driven mindset and potentially already first Interactions with tools like Cursor, Claude, etc. (required).
  • Quality delivery: strengths in problem solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail and ability to multitask in delivering work to high quality (required).
  • Excellent communication skills - able to get different stakeholders (Product Management, Development Teams, Architects, DevOps ...) on the same page and align people and strategy (required).
  • Be an energetic self-starter with the ability to take ownership, manage risk and be accountable for deliverables (required).
  • A team player with passion for leading through coaching and mentoring (required).
  • Process analysis, optimization and creation is important (required).
  • Flexible to adapt to changing priorities and able to work to tight deadlines (required).
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills are required (required).
  • Technical or Engineering Background (nice-to-have).
  • Sports Analysis Background (nice-to-have).
  • Network knowledge (nice-to-have).
  • Interest for Sports and data gathering (nice-to-have).
  • Experience in working with cloud computing technologies like AWS, GCP or other (nice-to-have).
