Senior C++ Software Engineer
Sportradar's Sports Virtualisation unit is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team. This role involves creating engaging products using Unreal Engine 5.6+ by leveraging skeletal tracking data from live sports events. The engineer will transform and distribute this data to generate live streams from cloud-based setups, enabling interactive virtual matches or high-quality clips.
The successful candidate will support the international team of C++ developers and designers in exciting projects, as well as perform maintenance and stabilisation of running systems. The role requires integrating high-performance C++ techniques with Unreal Engine’s rendering capabilities to push the boundaries of real-time broadcast graphics. Functionality will be generalised into reusable modules for current and future products. The engineer will also share knowledge and experience with the team and support junior developers and non-developer members.
- Support the international team of C++ developers and designers in exciting projects.
- Perform maintenance and stabilisation of running systems.

- Generalise functionality into modules that can be reused in multiple or future products.
- Share knowledge and experience with the rest of the team.
- Support and guide junior developers and non-developer members of the team.
- Plan and develop new features together with the team using C++ or other programming languages.
- Degree in software development, or other relevant experience (required).
- 3 years of experience as a software developer, either professionally or in personal projects (required).
- Excellent knowledge in object-oriented programming languages like C++ and Python (required).
- Interest for or experience with Game Engines (required).
- The extension of complex and performance-optimised software challenges you (required).

- Good command of written and spoken English (required).

- Knowledge of AWS services (nice-to-have).
- Experience with Java or C++ Testing Frameworks (nice-to-have).
