Software Engineer
Sportradar is seeking a Software Engineer for its Premium Cricket team. This role focuses on building high-performance applications that support the collection and distribution of data for cricket, which is a central component of the company's sports strategy. The position involves working within a supportive, quality-focused engineering environment that prioritises cloud-first principles and collaborative development.
Engineers in this role will work on products that manage betting probabilities and provide web-based interfaces for clients. The position requires a commitment to modern development practices, including the use of AI-assisted tools to optimise workflows and improve code quality. - Use Specification-Driven Development, ATDD and BDD techniques in your day-to-day work.
- Embrace and utilise AI tools to accelerate development, improve code quality and optimise engineering workflows.
- Work with AWS, Serverless technologies and GitLab CI.
- Build high-performance products and services using real-time sports data collected globally, 24/7, across more than 30 sports.
- Translate the complexity of cricket, including the DLS method, field settings and ball-by-ball data, into software solutions.
- Proven experience developing real-world applications using C#. (required)
- Strong knowledge of asynchronous programming, LINQ and modern .NET development practices. (required)
- Practical experience with front-end technologies, ideally React. (required)
- A proactive approach to incorporating AI into your development workflow. (required)
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns and RESTful APIs. (required)
- A genuine interest in software product development trends and best practices. (required)

- Understand the differences between Test, ODI and T20 formats. (nice-to-have)
- Be familiar with cricket terminology and match flow. (nice-to-have)

- Experience integrating LLMs and AI APIs. (nice-to-have)
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP. (nice-to-have)
- Experience working in Agile environments using Scrum or Kanban. (nice-to-have)
