Description

Sportradar's Sports Media Team is seeking a passionate Senior Software Engineer who loves to solve problems, build cloud-native solutions, and excels on cross-functional teams of talented peers. The team builds platforms and products that collect, curate, distribute, analyse, and personalise sports data and content. They pride themselves on delivering the fastest and most accurate live game data on the market, and the systems the team builds make that possible. Through Sports APIs, they empower developers from thousands of customers to create their own products powered by their data. With Analytics Products and Broadcast Solutions, they empower storytellers to create storylines around the action and to create the broadcast seen by millions of fans on TV.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, test, and deploy cloud-native solutions used by our Enterprise Customers, supporting billions of calls per month with hundreds of millions of TV viewers.
  • Work on an empowered cross functional team with Product, Engineering, Design and DevOps to deliver on your team’s core mission.
  • Partner with architecture and external development teams to design highly aligned services with clear separation of concerns.
  • Advocate and optimize your team’s' applications for maximum speed, scale, security, and maintainability through best practices.
  • Participate in Pull/Merge Request reviews to ensure high quality.
  • Be a trusted member of your team, fostering a strong culture of collaboration and best practices in the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in professional software development, designing and building systems (required)
  • Experience with data-driven architecture and systems design (RESTful APIs, microservices architecture) (required)
  • GraphQL experience is a plus (nice-to-have)
  • Experience with scalable, maintainable, reliable production software (required)
  • Proficiency utilizing SQL, NoSQL, In-memory stores at scale (required)
  • Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) (required)
  • Experience working in a Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) model, including GitLab/GitHub and CI pipeline automation tools (required)
  • Proven success working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) (required)
  • Strong understanding and implementation of cloud-native architectures (AWS serverless and/or containers preferred) at scale in production (preferred)
