Director of Engineering – Manage (Identity, Fraud & CS)
Super Technologies is looking for a Director of Engineering to drive the technical vision and strategy of the Manage - Identity, Fraud & CS tribe and wider Engineering teams. The role involves leading cross-functional teams, fostering innovation, and delivering scalable, high-impact solutions. This position is suited for a proactive, technically strong leader with a proven track record in building and scaling high-performing engineering organisations.
- Partnering to define the strategy and vision of the Manage tribe and wider Engineering organisation, building new teams to achieve it, and growing the existing teams.
- Leading by example as an Experimentation and Outcome-driven organisation.
- Landing organisational impact for Super Technologies by influencing strategy, driving business decisions, and building relationships with partners and stakeholders to drive outcomes (Product, Marketing, Design, Commercial, Leadership).
- Partnering with teams across the company to land improvements on their products.
- Building, supporting and driving an organisation made up of multiple teams of engineers including frontend, backend, full stack, data scientists and data engineers.
- Providing people management support and direction to managers and teams in the form of hiring, coaching, support, feedback, performance management and reviews.
- Owning technical strategy and direction for teams by handling ambiguity, building/driving roadmaps, ensuring Engineering excellence, setting goals and measuring impact.
- Engineering leader who thinks about the big picture and can evaluate complex, ambiguous trade-offs and achieve the right outcome(s) (required).
- Proven experience (15+ years) in software engineering or related roles (required).
- Proven experience (8+ years) leading/managing an engineering team, supporting the growth and performance of engineers and managers (required).
- Bachelors in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field (otherwise, 11+ years of experience) (required).
- Extreme proactivity and autonomy in the face of ambiguity, identifies problems and drives solutions to them via themselves as well as others (required).
- Deep understanding of the complex technical problems, software development lifecycle and ensuring reliability and stability of services (required).
- Track record of driving clarity via written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and organizational skills (required).
- Experience resolving complex engineering and communication issues across teams and organizations (required).
- Experience in online casino or sports betting products and driving improvements to them (nice-to-have).
- Understanding of Kubernetes/AWS/Kafka or experience building highly reliable products (nice-to-have).
- Supporting of a global organisation across multiple time zones, with different role types (nice-to-have).
