Product / Commercial Data Scientist
Super Technologies is seeking a Product / Commercial Data Scientist to work at the intersection of product, commercial, and marketing strategy. The role involves performing deep-dive analyses into customer behaviour, product usage, and commercial performance to uncover causal drivers behind key trends and inform strategic decision-making. The successful candidate's analyses will directly inform how millions of customers engage with the company's products.
Super Technologies requires a professional who can translate complex business questions into sharp analytical problems, bringing structure to fast-moving projects. The role involves collaborating with Product Managers, Commercial leads, Engineers, Designers, and Marketers, bringing analytical rigour to day-to-day decisions.
- Run deep-dive analyses into customer behaviour, product usage, and commercial performance to uncover the causal drivers behind key trends, not just surface-level metrics.
- Inform product roadmaps, commercial tactics, and marketing strategies by framing the right questions, running experiments (including A/B testing and causal inference), and delivering insights that drive key decisions.
- Define Metrics and KPIs, build dashboards and develop re-useable frameworks that help teams across Super make smarter, faster, data-driven decisions.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Commercial leads, Engineers, Designers, and Marketers, bringing analytical rigour to day-to-day decisions.
- Translate business questions into sharp analytical problems, bringing structure to fast-moving projects.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in analytics and/or product data science roles, ideally in product or commercial domains, with a track record of turning analysis into clear recommendations (required).
- SQL fluency (Snowflake) as a non-negotiable foundation (required).
- Solid grounding in statistical/experimental methods (required).
- Comfort with storytelling with data using tools such as Tableau (required).
- Proficient in using AI tools (Claude/Gemini) to accelerate analytics, coding, experimentation, and insight generation, with strong judgment to validate outputs and ensure accuracy (required).
- Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field - or equivalent work experience (required).
- Ability to transform complex analyses into clear, compelling narratives for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, making data accessible and actionable for decision-making (required).
- Good commercial and product instincts: connecting data outputs to business outcomes, product design, and customer behaviour rather than treating analysis as an end in itself (required).
- A bias for impact: orienting work around driving measurable change rather than model perfection, with success measured by whether analyses move the needle (required).
- Comfortable framing and running well-defined analyses independently, whilst knowing when to bring a manager or senior data scientist in on more ambiguous or cross-functional questions (required).
- Medical / Health Insurance
- Open Annual Leave
- Employee Assistance Programme
- Training & Learning Development
- Competitive compensation & performance-based bonuses
- Wellness perks & team social budget
