Senior Accountant

Description

Super Technologies is looking for an ambitious Senior Accountant to strengthen its finance team. This role is ideal for a professional coming from a Big 4 audit or advisory background who is ready to move into industry and take ownership of core accounting processes. The position offers a clear runway to grow into broader finance, controlling, and business analysis responsibilities as the group expands.

This role is designed as a springboard for career development. Depending on ambition and performance, natural next steps within the group include Financial Controller, FP&A / Business Analyst, or Finance Manager roles, supported by exposure to strategic projects, budgeting cycles, and the wider Super Technologies group.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and control the general ledger for one or more entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and audit-ready documentation.
  • Independently drive month-end closing tasks including accruals, provisions, depreciation, and cut-off, and support a fast, reliable close calendar.
  • Prepare consolidation inputs, intercompany reconciliations, and group reporting packages.
  • Contribute to the alignment between BE-GAAP statutory accounts and group IFRS reporting.
  • Act as a key contact for external auditors, prepare files, anticipate questions, and strengthen internal controls.
  • Support variance analysis, margin and cost reviews, and ad-hoc financial analysis for management.
  • Help automate and streamline accounting workflows using modern tools and contribute to the digital transformation of the finance function.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Accountancy, (Applied) Economics, Commercial Engineering, or a related field (required).
  • Approximately 4–6 years of professional experience, ideally including several years in a Big 4 audit practice, with exposure to statutory audits, group reporting, and complex accounting matters (required).
  • Strong command of BE-GAAP and solid working knowledge of IFRS (required).
  • Hands-on experience with consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and group reporting packages (required).
  • Familiarity with audit methodology, internal controls, and documentation standards (required).
  • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills including pivot tables, lookups, and data modelling (required).
  • Advanced proficiency in English (required).
  • Professional knowledge of Dutch (preferred).
  • A complementary certification (ITAA, ACCA, or equivalent) (nice-to-have).
  • Experience with Business Central or a comparable ERP, and with consolidation or BI tools (nice-to-have).
  • Proficiency and strong interest in AI (nice-to-have).
  • Working knowledge of French (nice-to-have).
Benefits
  • Medical / Health Insurance.
  • Open Annual Leave.
  • Employee Assistance Program.
  • Training & Learning Development.
  • Access to the latest accounting and AI-powered finance technologies and tools.
  • A competitive salary package with extra-legal benefits common in the Belgian market, including options for a company car or a mobility budget.
  • Flexible working hours and hybrid working.
