Senior Motion Designer

Description

As a Senior Motion Designer, the successful candidate will be instrumental in transforming Super Technologies' multi-brand identity into compelling motion experiences. They will bring static designs to life across formats and media, leveraging generative AI as a core part of their creative toolkit.

As a motion leader on the team, they will mentor Junior and Middleweight Motion Designers, act as an inspiring design role model, and help guide the team's visual output, contributing ideas proactively across every stage of the creative process.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal clients, art directors, and other team members to understand project requirements and develop creative concepts for motion graphics.
  • Create storyboards and visual outlines to plan sequences, transitions, and animations, expressing ideas clearly through treatments and storyboards.
  • Use After Effects and Premiere to bring static graphics and illustrations to life across a range of formats and media.
  • Leverage generative AI to produce storyboards, image assets, and video content that supports and enhances creative ideas.
  • Present concepts, progress updates, and final deliverables to clients and stakeholders, incorporating feedback to refine and improve work.
  • Mentor Junior and Middleweight Motion Designers, providing creative direction and acting as a point of reference for the team's visual standards.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, continuously developing skills to stay competitive in the field.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in a motion design role (required)
  • Strong understanding of motion design principles and current trends (required)
  • Proficiency in industry-standard motion design programmes (After Effects, Premiere) with confident editing skills (required)
  • Detail-obsessed with a strong design background and awareness of current trends in both motion and design (required)
  • Solid knowledge of storytelling fundamentals and how to apply them to film and motion briefs (required)
  • Keen interest in new technologies, particularly generative AI (required)
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken), with the ability to translate and present creative ideas clearly to stakeholders (required)
  • Confident collaborating across teams and departments, and comfortable receiving and acting on creative direction (required)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines (required)
  • Portfolio demonstrating an outstanding range of work, with rationale and evidence of the creative process behind each project (required)
  • Hands-on experience using generative AI tools for creative production (image generation, video, storyboarding) (nice-to-have)
  • Experience working within a multi-brand or agency environment (nice-to-have)
