The notion that iGaming affiliates have the best job perks within iGaming is one of those things that sounds true around the proverbial water cooler (or Teams group chats in today’s remote world) but might not actually be true. Industry data intelligence platform IBISWorld estimates that in 2026 there are 5,745 online gambling companies in operation - a 3% increase from 2025. While we only feature 103 of those companies on Big Bet Jobs, we believe given the size and scale of those firms, we can provide a useful sample to help in this discussion. This should allow us to answer the question of whether affiliates really do offer prospective candidates the best work benefits in iGaming.
To achieve this, we could not work with constantly active data and so decided to take our dataset from the 25 September 2026 - so all results listed in this article are correct as depicted on the site on that particular date.
So let’s take a look at the results.
Affiliates
Of all of the active affiliate roles on Big Bet Jobs over 97% of them included some form of learning, development or language course as an optional benefit to further their employees’ professional education. One executive assistant position at FairPlay Sports Media even listed that the successful candidate would receive a £1,000 training fund every year to spend on personal development.

Flexibility is another understood perk about working for an affiliate, although is not a given. Roles around content tend to be remote in affiliation, while leadership positions may be based in central office locations. In some cases like with Alts Digital the whole company is fully remote, to the point it’s become baked into the ethos of the business rather than just a flashy job perk. In fact, only 54% of affiliate roles had remote or flexible working listed as a benefit - a figure that could rise if factoring in roles that are indeed remote/flexible but don’t feature the fact as a listed benefit. One YouTube Product Manager position at Green Tomato Media offered fully remote working for 35 hours a week, as long as four of those hours overlapped with Bangkok time.
Some of the most unique job perks boasted by affiliates includes in-office massages once or twice a month at Gentoo Media’s Copenhagen office, with the company also offering an annual wellbeing benefit, anniversary rewards, on-site gym and daily office lunches.
I was once asked to host a content panel at one of my former employer’s conferences around recruitment and specifically how to attract, motivate and retain iGaming employees. The panel contained former CEOs and HR leadership personnel from iGaming affiliates. Some of the benefits we discussed included offering subsidies and full payment to broadband costs for remote workers, unlimited holiday allowances, ‘no meeting Fridays’, office closures over Christmas and New Year and even a £1,000 personal allowance for wellbeing the audience was told could be spent on anything from a holiday or a PS5. It’s fair to say in the last two years that festive office closures have become quite common even when not listed as a benefit in some cases, whereas unlimited holiday only features in just above 3% of the total roles in the data and personal allowance budgets for wellbeing in our 2026 data showed the max companies were willing to offer was €500 to candidates.
Operators
For the roles offered by iGaming operators, there is equally, as seen with affiliates, a big emphasis on learning and development with nearly all operator jobs on site featuring some mention of career furthering initiatives. Health insurance appeared in over 95% of roles including dental and vision, while mention of performance-related bonuses appeared in over 70% of jobs. Personal benefits like gym, wellness and sport subsidies appeared in just under 25% of opportunities, while tech equipment and home office set-up benefits appeared in 18% of active roles.

In terms of unique roles, DraftKings offers family support in the form of adoption, surrogacy, and fertility treatments, as well as care finding and backup childcare, alongside pet insurance to cover veterinary expenses for accidents and illnesses.
When it comes to wellness, operators are also keen to make sure its workforce have access to an array of opportunities. LeoVegas in some countries like the UK offers staff a £250 wellbeing annual allowance to spend as well as a standard cycle to work scheme and gym discounts.
The operator also offers a “workation” for some of its roles in certain regions, allowing employees to work from abroad for up to four weeks each year. In fact, when it comes to working abroad, operators lead the line with just over 36% of all roles posted within the company type offering a similar type of scheme - compared to just 20% for affiliates.
Best of the rest
Roles for tech and platform providers tend to steer down a traditional path when it comes to benefits as out of all the roles listed on site: 74% included learning, development and language courses, 67% of them had health, dental and vision insurance, 47% featured gym, wellness and sport subsidies and 30% with performance bonuses.

Game studios and providers however largely place more emphasis on the health insurance side with 66% of roles listing the benefit and only 42% of roles featuring some kind of learning or development perk.

Agencies, we discovered, had almost an equal inclusion of health insurance, development courses and PTO and leave benefits all featuring in over 80% of roles. Other benefits like around gym and sport activities, performance bonuses and flexi working all appeared in less than 25% of roles.

In terms of unique benefits the affiliate programme division of PIN-UP Global offers yoga classes to remote employees and also boasts of an online platform with newsletters, quests, gamification and presents for collecting bonuses. While the general stats for development courses, health insurance and gym/wellness all come in around 60% of total roles.

The space around employees benefits and perks is always a moving landscape and will likely change again in the next few years. Likely another sizable factor in this conversation will be where the power lies in the market, whether in the talent or the employers. A strong market for candidates tends to prompt companies to want to introduce new ways to entice and retain talent and the opposite is just as self explanatory.
As a recruiter friend in the market said to me a while ago, the power dynamic will always swing back around eventually. From the research we’ve conducted, it would be fair to say things have become a bit more standardised - likely from not needing to push the boat out to entice. However, when it comes to the unique and special benefits you are still in my opinion more likely to find them working for an iGaming affiliate on average. Yet, in this market, salary, location and job security may ultimately matter more to candidates than just workplace benefits.
You can, as always, view a host of new roles with a range of benefits on Big Bet Jobs.
