Director of Supply Chain Accounting
Aristocrat is searching for an experienced Director of Supply Chain Accounting to join its world-class team. This role is uniquely positioned to influence ambitious goals and support the continuous enhancement of processes through digital tools and automation.
The successful candidate will manage the general ledger and cost accounting of global integration centers, lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, and ensure accurate calculation and monitoring of standard and actual costs. They will collaborate with Engineering and Production to maintain accurate BOMs and routings and support new product introductions. The role involves standardising general ledger and cost accounting procedures throughout the network, finding opportunities for margin improvement, and partnering with technical accounting and finance teams to address complex accounting matters. The Director will also support the development and improvement of accounting processes, reporting standards, and internal controls, ensure compliance with internal control frameworks and financial governance requirements, and coordinate annual external audits.
This position leads and guides the supply chain accounting team, consisting of 4 direct reports, and serves as a strategic advisor to finance and manufacturing leadership on cost, manufacturing efficiency, and inventory optimisation.
- Manage the general ledger and cost accounting of our global integration centers.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Ensure accurate calculation and monitoring of standard and actual costs in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), including the annual rolling of standard costs.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Production to maintain accurate BOMs and routings and to support new product introductions.
- Standardise general ledger and cost accounting procedures throughout our network.
- Find opportunities for margin improvement via cost optimisation, waste reduction, and process improvements.
- Partner with technical accounting and finance teams to address complex accounting matters and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Support the development and improvement of accounting processes, reporting standards, and internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with internal control frameworks and financial governance requirements.
- Coordinate annual external audits and serve as the primary contact for auditors.
- Lead and guide the supply chain accounting team, consisting of 4 direct reports.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to finance and manufacturing leadership on cost, manufacturing efficiency, and inventory optimisation.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience (required).
- CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification (preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience (required).
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing accounting teams (required).
- Strong understanding of ERPs, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 (required).
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills (required).
- Ability to successfully implement process improvements and digital tools (required).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills (required).
- Strong attention to detail and dedication to accuracy (required).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment (required).
- Pay range of $122,500 - $227,500 per year.
