Lead Game Designer
Aristocrat is looking for an ambitious and hardworking Sr Game Mathematician I to join its versatile team. This role is pivotal to its success, ensuring its games are not only fun but also mathematically sound and engaging. If you are passionate about gaming, mathematics, and innovation, this is an outstanding and exciting chance to create a significant impact.
The role involves developing and constructing mathematical models for slot games and other gaming products. Building, developing, and documenting mathematical models for slot and instant-win games is key. This includes building pay tables, probability models, and simulations to define return to player, volatility, and hit frequency.
Analysis of game performance and player behaviour is required to refine game mechanics. Continuous optimisation of game performance using data-driven insights is also essential. Collaboration with game designers, engineers, and artists to implement mathematical concepts is crucial. Ensuring smooth and accurate integration of mathematical models into game engines, and conducting detailed testing and debugging to maintain high-quality standards are also part of the role.
Support for QA teams in validating game outcomes against encouraged mathematical results is needed. Communication of complex mathematical concepts clearly to non-technical team members is important. Participation in brainstorming sessions to contribute to new game ideas is encouraged. Staying updated with industry trends and improving existing approaches is expected. Documentation of all mathematical models and processes clearly for future reference is required. Providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members is also a responsibility.
