Senior Software Developer, Sports Content
As a Senior Software Developer, you will collaborate with a team of skilled professionals dedicated to the development, enhancement and support of our cutting-edge Martech Content Platform. The Martech Content team is responsible for developing and enhancing our platforms for Hub pages, Offers, Help, News and Responsible Gambling, which support the delivery of both customer facing and internal business systems. Within the Content team, you will develop and support our business-critical Content platform. From the delivery of real time facial recognition systems utilising innovative AI technology, to core operational tooling. In this pivotal role, you will work alongside our Technical Leads to design and implement robust Martech systems. Your skills as a Senior Software Developer will set the standard to a talented group of developers to innovate and excel in delivering reliable solutions. Martech Content operates as a full stack team across Golang, React and Cloud platforms. Core skills within the team are Kafka, SQL, .Net, Golang, SQL, NodeJS, CSS, JavaScript and Typescript. This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.
- Acting as a point of escalation for the team both in and out of office hours.
- Leading and delivering the development of scalable, maintainable and performant systems.
- Applying active governance around overall solution design, while setting the standard for code quality and delivery within the team.
- Ensuring solutions meet the needs of the Business.
- Taking responsibility for work estimation, producing solution documents and ultimately ensuring accurate portrayals of effort can be obtained and subsequently delivered.
- Understanding the technical structure, domain and architecture of the systems the team is responsible for.
- Leading the technical delivery a small team of developers in the design and development of a solution from start to finish.
- Owning technical solutions and their hands on delivery from development to live at low level.
- Distributing knowledge and mentoring of team members.
- Knowledge of Kafka, Google Spanner, Golang, SQL, .Net, Golang JavaScript and Typescript, or similar alternative technologies. (required)
- Proven experience of guiding development teams throughout technical projects from delivery to successful completion. (required)
- Ability to mentor and coach. (required)
- Strong technical documentation skills. (required)
- Proven record of accomplishment in high availability multi browser compatible development. (required)
- Experience of working with high availability, multiuser and service-based systems. (required)
