The tech stack includes Spark, Python/Scala, Databricks, Delta Lake, Apache Airflow, Airbyte, GitLab, Grafana, Kafka, and cloud-native services (Azure/AWS).
- Design and optimise scalable data pipelines (batch and streaming) integrating diverse sources across cloud platforms.
- Embed observability and governance using modern frameworks and metadata management tools.
- Implement security controls, including encryption, masking, and role-based access.
- Deploy and manage solutions using CI/CD best practices within a “you build it, you run it” culture.
- Collaborate with domain teams and stakeholders to align on data contracts and platform standards.
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies to enhance the platform’s scalability and efficiency.
- Strong software engineering expertise, with experience in production-grade data platforms (required).
- Proficiency in Spark, orchestration frameworks (e.g., Dagster), and cloud environments (Azure) (required).
- Understanding of security best practices for enterprise data environments (required).
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work across domains in a distributed ownership model (required).
