Python Developer (Betlifecycle Product Group)
The Betlifecycle Product Group is responsible for core processing of bets, betting features and transmitting data about bets to external Operators and internal Betby systems across every stage of the bet’s lifecycle.
This is not a legacy support project - it's about continuous development of new modules, performance optimization, and high-throughput processing.
The team is small, but always growing and focused (6-8 engineers), operating with high autonomy, deep ownership, and a shared passion for scalable engineering.
- Develop and maintain high-load backend services using Python (asyncio).
- Design, support, and optimize microservice architecture components.
- Participate in architectural discussions and technical decision-making.
- Implement integrations with Kafka, RabbitMQ, and internal RPC services.
- Refactor and improve existing services with focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Write functional and integration tests to ensure system stability.
- Collaborate with developers, QA, analysts, and product teams, while contributing to code reviews and knowledge sharing.
- Python 3.11, 5+ years of professional experience (required).
- Strong hands-on experience with asyncio and asynchronous programming (3+ years preferred) (preferred).
- Experience in microservice architecture (REST API, RPC) (required).
- Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures (required).
- Good understanding and practical application of SOLID, DRY, KISS, YAGNI principles (required).
- Experience designing internal libraries / SDKs / shared components (required).
- Pydantic (v2) (required).
- Hands-on experience with stream processing (required).
- Solid understanding of RPC (designing RPC servers, request/response, retries, correlationId) (required).
- Kafka (consumer groups, delivery guarantees, schema design, experience in defining optimal partitioning strategies) (required).
- RabbitMQ (RPC, pub/sub, DLX, retries) (required).
- MongoDB (indexes, configs, transactions) (required).
- Experience in fintech, betting, trading domains (nice-to-have).
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Docker, Kubernetes, GraphQL (Ariadne), ClickHouse (nice-to-have).

Betby is a business-to-business sportsbook software provider, supplying a turnkey sportsbook, odds and risk-management services and the Betby.Games esports product to iGaming operators.
