Senior Accountant / Deputy of Reporting
The company is looking for a motivated Senior Accountant and Deputy of Reporting to join the finance team and support growing international operations. In this role, the successful candidate will support accounting, reporting, and compliance activities across multiple jurisdictions, including both EU and non-EU regions, to ensure accuracy and alignment with local and international accounting standards.
The role involves assisting with audit and tax-related processes while working closely with internal teams and external partners. The position is designed for a professional who can manage full-cycle accounting entries and contribute to the efficiency of day-to-day finance operations.
- Be responsible for full-cycle accounting entries processing, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions.
- Manage accounting and compliance processes for entities in EU and non-EU jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records.
- Support and coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations, review of balances and supporting documentation.
- Collect, review and organise accounting documents, including vendor invoices, for accurate recording and processing.
- Collaborate with external advisors and internal teams to support timely reporting, such as FS, VAT returns, VIES, and CIT.
- Identify and contribute to process improvements to support efficient and reliable day-to-day finance operations.
- Support the evaluation and implementation of new accounting software, including migration activities and data accuracy checks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (required).
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance or a similar role (required).
- International exposure (preferred).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (required).
- Knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP (preferred).
- Good understanding of tax reporting processes and statutory compliance requirements (required).
- Strong spreadsheet skills in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel (required).
- Experience working with accounting software and ERP systems (required).
- Familiarity with 1c and NetSuite ERP (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and a structured approach to work (required).
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to build trusted relationships with external advisors and collaborate effectively across teams (required).
