Sports Data Scientist/Sports Mathematical Modeller
The company is seeking a skilled Math Modeler with a background in sports betting to join the team. The role involves developing predictive models for sports and esports events, collecting and preprocessing data from various sources, and implementing algorithms to forecast game outcomes and betting odds.
The successful candidate will analyse model performance, refine techniques to enhance accuracy, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate these models into betting platforms. This position requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to present findings to stakeholders.
- Develop predictive models for various sports and esports events.
- Collect, clean, and preprocess data from multiple sources.
- Implement algorithms to forecast game outcomes and betting odds.
- Analyse model performance and refine techniques to improve accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate models into betting platforms.
- Present findings and insights to stakeholders through reports and visualisations.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (required).
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis and predictive modelling (required).
- Solid knowledge in Python (required).
- Knowledge of sports and esports ecosystems (nice-to-have).
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and statistical software (nice-to-have).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (required).
- English - intermediate (required).
