Treasury Team Lead
Betby is seeking an experienced Treasury Team Lead to scale its global payment operations. In this role, the individual will lead a Payment Specialist, oversee end-to-end liquidity management, build solid cash forecasting frameworks, and expand the banking and PSP provider ecosystem.
Working closely with the COO, Head of Finance, Compliance, and Customer Billing teams, the Treasury Team Lead will play a central role in designing an independent cash flows corporate structure, optimising global fee models, and protecting the business against foreign exchange and crypto market volatility.
- Direct, mentor, and coach the Payment Specialist to ensure seamless daily operations, error-free payment execution, and professional growth.
- Map and document end-to-end payment procedures, creating clear step-by-step guides and user handbooks.
- Elaborate and enforce a comprehensive Internal Payment and Treasury Policy covering payment limits, emergency protocols, and approval flows.
- Serve as the primary bridge to other internal teams to ensure clear operational SLAs, transparent payment statuses, and predictable resolution paths.
- Control updates of the weekly cash flow model.
- Build and deploy a modern, scalable cash flow model designed around the business model, transactional flows, and settlement cycles.
- Collaborate with the Head of Finance and COO to structure strategic intercompany payments distribution schemes across group entities.
- Manage end-to-end onboarding and relationship management for new bank accounts, EMIs, and PSPs.
- Evaluate, compare, and negotiate competitive pricing, processing terms, and operational conditions for new and existing payment solutions.
- Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams to pass partner KYC/KYB reviews, satisfy regulatory requirements, and ensure swift onboarding.
- Partner with the Customer Billing team to monitor and ensure compliance standards for incoming transactional flows.
- Audit and refactor banking, processing, and other fees across all partners to minimise costs.
- Formulate and execute treasury risk-mitigation strategies to protect company margins against sharp fluctuations in fiat currencies and crypto assets.
- Manage capital buffers and safeguard balances.
- 4+ years of treasury/payments experience within Fintech, Payments, E-commerce, or iGaming (required).
- 1–2 years in a leadership or senior operational role (required).
- Deep understanding of global banking networks, SWIFT, SEPA, Faster Payments, cryptocurrency, EMI setups, and PSP integration models (required).
- Proven experience drafting corporate payment policies, SLAs, and operational documentation (required).
- Experience in designing custom cash flow models and forecasting frameworks from scratch (required).
- Practical understanding of foreign exchange risk management and risks related to cryptocurrency volatility (required).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coach junior team members, communicate with C-level stakeholders, and negotiate effectively with external partners (required).
