Compliance Officer - Swedish Speaking
Betsson Group is hiring a Swedish Speaking Compliance Officer to support its Nordic regulatory operations. This role is based in Malta and involves working at the heart of a fast-growing international iGaming business where language skills and regional expertise will make a real impact.
As a Compliance Officer, you will play an important role in helping ensure the business meets regulatory requirements across the Nordic markets. Working closely with colleagues across Compliance, Legal, Product and Commercial teams, you will support regulatory initiatives, monitor compliance obligations, and contribute to maintaining a strong compliance culture. - Support regulatory projects and help ensure compliance with licensing and operational obligations across Nordic jurisdictions.
- Monitor regulatory developments and assist in assessing their impact on the business.
- Prepare and review regulatory submissions, including licence applications, reports, and responses to regulatory authorities.
- Work collaboratively with Legal, Product, and Commercial teams to help embed compliance into business processes and product development.
- Assist with the delivery of compliance training and awareness initiatives relevant to Nordic regulatory requirements.
- Support regulatory inspections and audits by preparing documentation and coordinating follow-up actions.
- Maintain accurate compliance records and documentation to support audit readiness and regulatory reporting.
- Assist with day-to-day compliance monitoring activities and provide guidance to internal stakeholders on regulatory requirements.
- 2-4 years' experience in regulatory compliance or a similar role, ideally within the gambling industry (required).
- Fluency in both English and Swedish is essential (required).
- Good understanding of Nordic regulatory frameworks, including AML, KYC, data protection, and licensing requirements (required).
- Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills (required).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment (required).
- Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams (required).
- A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop within a regulatory environment (required).
- Degree in Law, Business, or a compliance-related field (preferred).
- Experience in regulatory engagement and negotiation (preferred).
- Familiarity with compliance technology platforms and data-driven compliance monitoring (preferred).
