Software Engineers (Backend .NET/C#)
The Payments Engineering team at Betsson Group is now hiring! We are a world-class iGaming operator offering a variety of online gaming products in several markets, both through our own gaming sites as well as several partner brands. Joining the Engineering team means you will be responsible for building the best payment customer experience from payment pages perspective and improving the offering of amount of payment options on brands and markets that we operate within. - Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable server-side applications using the . NET framework and related technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, product managers, and designers, to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Develop and implement efficient and secure RESTful APIs and microservices to support client applications and integrations.
- Write clean, testable, maintainable, and well-documented code following software development best practices and coding standards.
- Perform thorough testing and debugging of backend applications to ensure high quality and reliability.
- Optimize application performance and scalability through code optimizations, caching strategies, and database optimizations.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to architectural guidelines, and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by users or identified through monitoring and logging systems.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in backend development and actively contribute to improving development processes and efficiency.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns. (required)
- Proficiency in SQL databases both in writing queries and optimizing performance (required)
- Understanding of software development best practices, including code reviews, unit testing, continuous integration and delivery pipelines. (required)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to debug and resolve complex issues. (required)
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. (required)
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS). (preferred)
- Strong background in backend development, with experience in languages such as C#, or similar. (required)
- Knowledge of NoSQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server databases. (preferred)
- Experience in design and implementation of distributed systems that comprise of multiple domain-oriented services. (preferred)
- Understanding of front-end development technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. (preferred)
- Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git. (required)
- Familiarity with containerisation technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes. (preferred)
- Experience with etcd, Consul, Redis, Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, gRPC, Orleans. (nice-to-have)
