Legal & Business Operations Assistant

Description

This is an opportunity for a law student or HA(jur.) / business-law student who is starting their 5th semester or further along in their studies to gain hands-on experience with contracts, licensing, data protection, regulatory matters and legal operations in an international AI company. The role is particularly relevant if you have strong legal methodology, commercial curiosity and an interest in how legal work supports business decisions in practice.

The position is expected to be approximately 10–15 hours per week, with flexibility around university studies and exam periods. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with the business and contribute meaningfully from day one, benefiting from a flat hierarchy that encourages taking real ownership of tasks.

  • Assist with contract reviews.
  • Assist with licensing-related work.
  • Prepare legal documents, particularly DPAs and NDAs.
  • Maintain the Contract Management System, including gathering and structuring relevant contract data.
  • Assist with ad hoc legal tasks, including due diligence documents and GDPR questions from customers.
  • Support different financial tasks including handling incoming and outgoing invoicing.
  • Improve our overview of regulation and assist in preparing internal regulatory updates.
  • Represent Mindway AI at events depending on profile and interests.
Requirements
  • Law student or HA(jur.) / business-law student starting their 5th semester or further along in their studies (required).
  • Strong legal methodology and the ability to formulate clear, precise and legally sound written work (required).
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken (required).
  • Good commercial and economic understanding, particularly in relation to budgets and revenue calculations (required).
  • Interest in complex legal and regulatory issues, including gaming regulation, data protection and commercial contracts (required).
  • Structured working style and ability to manage deadlines, changing priorities and multiple tasks at the same time (required).
  • High level of responsibility and willingness to take ownership of tasks (required).
  • Curiosity and motivation to learn areas not usually taught in university, including practical contract work, regulatory monitoring and the business side of legal operations (required).
  • Ability to work in an international environment with colleagues and customers across different jurisdictions (required).
  • Basic technical understanding and Excel/PPT skills (nice-to-have).
Benefits
  • Relevant business experience in a growing international company.
  • A wide range of legal tasks across contracts, licensing, compliance, regulation and legal operations.
  • A flat hierarchy with the opportunity to take real ownership rather than being limited by the “student” title.
  • Flexible working hours that can accommodate university studies and exam periods.
  • Practical insight into how law and economics interact and intertwine in the real world.
  • Experience in a global, tech-heavy and fast-growing industry.
  • An informal workplace with engaged and helpful colleagues.
  • The opportunity to work with AI and build skills for the future.
  • The opportunity to develop a distinctive legal and commercial skillset within the entertainment and technology sector.
  • Compensation: Bachelor-level student: DKK 160 per hour; Master-level student: DKK 180 per hour.
