Senior DevOps Engineer
Better Collective is looking for a talented Senior DevOps Engineer with a solid background in Platform Engineering, SRE, or DevOps to design, optimise, and maintain a high-performance, secure cloud ecosystem. The role serves as a key technical anchor, driving infrastructure strategy and delivering high-impact engineering solutions that align with business goals.
The primary objective of the role is building, scaling, and automating cloud infrastructure while supporting developer teams with reliable continuous integration and delivery capabilities. Better Collective seeks a professional who bridges conventional operations with next-generation paradigms, possessing a strong operational understanding of AI workflows and the capacity to eliminate infrastructure silos.
- Manage, secure, and scale AWS cloud environments.
- Provision infrastructure using Terraform and handle configuration via Ansible.
- Deploy and manage applications using Docker on AWS ECS or AWS EKS.
- Build and debug serverless applications using AWS Lambda and Cloudflare Workers.
- Set up and maintain automated pipelines exclusively via GitHub Actions.
- Configure content delivery, caching, and routing via Cloudflare and AWS CloudFront.
- Maintain infrastructure health tracking and alerts using Checkmk, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Manage firewalls, VPCs, and network routing.
- Troubleshoot and debug environment issues for Node.js, PHP, and WordPress applications.
- 5+ years in SRE, Platform Engineering, or DevOps managing complex AWS setups (required)
- Practical understanding of AI concepts, workflows, and tools to support modern Platform and engineering operations (required)
- Strongly focused on KPIs, project deadlines, and operational efficiency (required)
- Expert-level knowledge of Linux administration (Ubuntu and Debian) (required)
- Strong diagnostic skills for live Node.js and PHP/WordPress application issues (required)
