Platform Engineer III
As a Platform Engineer III, the successful candidate will lead the design, automation, and maintenance of scalable, secure, and efficient infrastructure systems that support Entain products and services. The role involves ensuring the platform is robust, reliable, and capable of meeting the demands of a fast-paced technology environment.
Reporting to a Tech Lead, the Platform Engineer III will be part of the Platform Engineering Team. This team is responsible for building and maintaining core infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and an Internal Developer Platform to enable self-service capabilities for development teams. The role also involves creating Agentic AI workflows to accelerate colleagues across product and technology departments.

- Design, build, and evolve an Internal Developer Platform that provides self-service capabilities for provisioning environments, deploying services, and managing infrastructure.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated infrastructure using Shell scripting, Python/Java, and Ansible.
- Build and create agentic AI workflows.
- Manage Kubernetes clusters and deploy containerised applications at scale.
- Build and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, building, and deployment.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack/Datadog.
- Ensure infrastructure security best practices and maintain clear documentation.
- Collaborate with developers to improve onboarding, service templates, and workflows within the Internal Developer Platform.
- 4 to 7 years of experience in a DevOps, Platform Engineering, or similar role (required).
- Experience designing or contributing to an Internal Developer Platform or developer productivity tools (required).
- Skills in Shell scripting (Bash/PowerShell) and programming (Python or Java) (required).
- Hands-on experience with Ansible, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI/CD (required).
- Proficiency with Git version control and branching strategies (required).
- AI skills (required).
- Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana) and logging solutions (ELK/Datadog) (required).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP (required).
- Experience with infrastructure and application security best practices (required).
