Senior Infrastructure Engineer- Network
The Senior Infrastructure Engineer executes a range of activities using Automation, Enterprise Systems Management (ESM), and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) technologies, delivering important capabilities within the infrastructure landscape.
Entain requires the successful candidate to complete the implementation of high-level designs for stable network and infrastructure environments that meet Entain's needs, share them with partners, and comply with current security, privacy, and audit requirements.
The role involves providing technical knowledge where needed to support managers, principals or technical experts to resolve issues. It also includes collaborating with application development, enterprise architecture, infrastructure and cyber security teams to develop and implement a compelling product roadmap.
The engineer will implement the automation and orchestration capabilities across the environment and establish procedures that promote efficiency, solving a range of daily user problems. They will deliver daily support to internal tools and system health, and infrastructure implemented for all projects and manage customer support contracts.
Collaboration with technical architects, using experience to translate architectural designs into operations is key. The role also involves documenting the processes, measurements, and assessments required for both personal and project work, and developing and sharing knowledge on new trends and changes in infrastructure engineering. Furthermore, the engineer will implement ways to improve working processes within the area of infrastructure engineering responsibility through data analysis, including network and infrastructure performance and health, to identify issues and areas for improvement.
- Execute a range of activities using Automation, Enterprise Systems Management (ESM), and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) technologies.

- Completed a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field (required)
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in core networking (required)
- Fluent English (minimum B1 level) is a prerequisite (required)
- Core Networking: Network Topology & TCP/IP knowledge for designing and troubleshooting networks (required)
- Core Networking: Expertise in DNS for name resolution and application connectivity (required)
- Core Networking: Proficient in Routing & Switching (Cisco/Juniper) for managing enterprise networks and ensuring efficient traffic flow (required)
- Core Networking: Accomplished in Firewalls (FortiGate/Palo Alto) for network security and segmentation (required)
- Advanced Networking: Experience installing HAProxy / F5 in production environments (required)
- Advanced Networking: Troubleshoot L4/L7 traffic flows and HAProxy / F5 configuration issues (required)
- Advanced Networking: DDoS Mitigation experience protecting against large-scale attacks (required)
- Advanced Networking: Understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS for secure communication (required)
- Automation & Scripting: Hands-on experience scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell (required)
- Automation & Scripting: Knowledge of REST APIs (F5 iControl REST, HAProxy Data Plane API) (required)
- Automation & Scripting: Knowledge of Infrastructure automation tools (Ansible preferred) (preferred)
- Automation & Scripting: Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline integration for configuration deployment (required)
- Automation & Scripting: Knowledge of Configuration management using Git (required)
- Monitoring: Familiarity with SNMP, REST APIs, and monitoring tools for proactive issue detection (required)
- Cloud & Remote Access: Ability to design and manage hybrid or cloud-native network architectures using AWS/GCP services like VPC, Direct Connect, and Transit Gateway (required)
- Cloud & Remote Access: Experience implementing Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) with Palo Alto (required)
