Senior Procurement Category Manager - Marketing
As a Senior Procurement Category Manager, the role is responsible for optimising 3rd party Marketing spend through the delivery of identified benefits and the creation of short, mid, and long-term value optimisation strategies aligned to the objectives of the business. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the role will be part of the Global Procurement team and will support the Marketing Procurement team to influence £Multi Million spend across multiple categories for Marketing.
The role involves reviewing spend across the group and analysing the supplier base and business requirements. It also requires engagement and regular catch-ups with local and international stakeholders to understand requirements and strategies, identify opportunities, align goals, share best practices, and review spend. Building cutting-edge knowledge of the supply base and market trends to provide value-adding insights to the content community is also key. The role will understand critical areas for Innovation and build a pipeline of opportunities to be shared with the supplier community, while supporting the implementation of the procurement strategy and policy.
- Review spend across the group and analyse supplier base and business requirements.
- Identify and lead all content projects ensuring they are delivered on time and targets are achieved.
- Engage in regular catch-ups with local and international stakeholders to understand requirements and strategies, identify opportunities, align goals, share best practices, and review spend.
- Build a cutting-edge knowledge of the supply base and market trends to provide value-adding insights to the content community.
- Understand critical areas for innovation and build a pipeline of opportunities to be shared with the supplier community.
- Support the implementation of the procurement strategy and policy.
- Experience with offline and digital Media, partnerships/sponsorships, creative and martech (required).
- Outstanding verbal and communication skills and the ability to present and summarise a business case to an Executive audience (required).
- Excellent understanding and management of RFI's, RFP's, RFQ's and Agreements (required).
- Excellent skills evaluating or monitoring contract performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts, and compliance to contractual obligations (required).
- Commercial awareness and excellent negotiation skills (required).
