Senior Test Engineer
Angstrom Sports, a proprietary sports pricing and product provider within the Entain group, is seeking a Senior Test Engineer with a mobile focus to join its dynamic development team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and conducting testing to ensure the quality and reliability of software products.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software that meets customer needs.
- Perform functional, regression, performance, and usability testing of mobile applications on both Android and iOS platforms.
- Perform functional testing of AWS backend services, including APIs, serverless applications, databases, and event-driven workflows.
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools, and communicate issues clearly to the development team.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for mobile applications using tools such as Detox.
- Ensure mobile applications work across various devices, OS versions, screen sizes, and resolutions.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and UX/UI designers to understand requirements and define test plans.
- Conduct load and stress testing to evaluate the mobile app’s performance under various conditions.
- Define and ensure comprehensive test coverage to identify potential vulnerabilities or usability issues in the app.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in testing methodologies, test strategies, and the overall development process.
- Proven experience as a Mobile Test Engineer or Quality Assurance Engineer, with hands-on experience testing mobile applications (required).
- Test Engineer with front end engineering and testing experience (required).
- Experience in manual testing and test case creation (required).
- Strong knowledge of Android and iOS platforms (required).
- Strong knowledge of testing AWS serverless backend architectures (required).
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Detox (required).
- Understanding of mobile application life cycles, including debugging, profiling, and memory management (required).
- Knowledge of continuous integration (CI) and continuous testing processes (required).
- Experience with tools like Jira & Xray or similar e.g. TestRail (required).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document defects and work with cross-functional teams (required).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail (required).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience (required).
- Familiarity with cloud-based device farm testing platforms (e.g., Sauce Labs, Browser Stack, AWS) (required).
- Industry experience: US Sports, IGaming, Gambling (nice-to-have).
- Passion for Sports and a strong interest in the industry (nice-to-have).
