Staff Product Manager, Experimentation

Description

The Staff Product Manager, Experimentation will own the product strategy and roadmap for FanDuel's experimentation capabilities. This is a high-impact role that will shape how marketing functions learn and innovate. FanDuel is building experimentation as a core pillar of its marketing strategy, and the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring teams can run sophisticated, high-velocity tests that drive smarter decisions across the business.

The role involves partnering closely with MarTech, Data, and Analytics teams while leading from within the experimentation organisation to translate vision into a detailed, actionable roadmap. The focus is on establishing strong partnerships across Product, Engineering, Data Science, and business teams to create the infrastructure and processes that enable speed without sacrificing rigour. This position demands an individual who excels at cross-functional collaboration and thrives as the bridge between technical and business teams.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the experimentation team to understand vision, operational challenges, and the business priorities that will shape the product roadmap.
  • Define and own the experimentation product roadmap by translating business needs into clear requirements and technical specifications.
  • Advance the generosity test and learn program by leading development of reinforcement learning capabilities and AI-enabled experiment workflows.
  • Partner with data science and engineering teams to define data requirements and ensure the right data infrastructure and methodologies are in place to enable rapid, contextual feedback loops and model development.
  • Define and enforce experimentation guardrails - frequency caps, exposure limits, statistical validity thresholds - that protect player experience and P&L while enabling fast iteration.
  • Write clear PRDs, run structured discovery, and ship incrementally - balancing platform investment against near-term marketing needs.
  • Align cross-functional stakeholders on priorities, feasibility, and resource allocation.
  • Communicate progress, roadmap updates, and resource needs to leadership on a regular basis, flagging dependencies and constraints early to ensure successful delivery.
  • Work closely with Martech Product teams to ensure experimentation is a native, low-friction capability with a dedicated roadmap for business outcomes.
  • Represent generosity experimentation in platform-wide architecture and prioritization discussions (e.g., Campaign360, capability overlap decisions), ensuring the experimentation layer scales as new promo types and channels are added.
  • Outline opportunities to integrate existing experimentation capabilities and future evolution into the broader MarTech and data platform stack, reducing friction and improving speed.
  • Drive adoption and usage of current and developing experimentation capabilities across the organisation, establishing a culture of data-driven testing and decision-making.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of product management or product strategy experience, ideally in a platform or infrastructure role (required).
  • Proven track record of shipping complex, cross-functional products and driving measurable business outcomes (required).
  • Direct experience building product roadmaps for experimentation platforms (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with platforms that rely on robust data infrastructure, feature stores, measurement systems, and reporting frameworks is required. Examples include CDPs, marketing automation, and similar data-driven platforms (required).
  • Knowledge of experimentation best practices and strong quantitative fluency. You're comfortable defining metrics, interpreting statistical analysis, and pushing back on flawed experiment designs (required).
  • Strong business acumen with ability to craft business cases, prioritise tradeoffs, and communicate clearly with executive stakeholders in a regulated or high-stakes consumer environments (gaming, fintech, healthcare) where guardrails and compliance shape product design (required).
  • Demonstrated excellence at cross-functional collaboration-you thrive in complex organizational dynamics and can build trust and alignment across teams with competing priorities. You’re able to influence without authority across senior leadership and cross-functional partners (required).
  • Ability to work with Data Science on applied ML and predictive models in production (required).
  • Technical depth not required, but fluency in the fundamentals preferred.
  • Experience in marketing technology, loyalty/rewards, promotions, or lifecycle marketing platforms is a plus (nice-to-have).
Benefits
  • Health plans to choose from (some as low as $0 per paycheck) that include programs for fertility and family planning, mental health support, and fitness benefits.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO & sick leave).
  • Annual bonus and long-term incentive opportunities (based on performance).
  • 401k with up to a 5% match.
  • Commuter benefits.
  • Pet insurance.
  • Medical, vision, and dental insurance.
  • Life insurance.
  • Disability insurance.
