Senior Account Executive, Audience & Curation

Description

Genius Sports is seeking a Senior Account Executive for its Audience & Curation team. This specialist individual-contributor role operates within a pod structure, serving as the technical expert for a major holding company's data organisation and trading desk. The position involves managing end-to-end deal cycles, from initial conversation to activation, while working closely with internal Ad Operations, Product, and Insights teams to deliver tailored audience solutions.

The role requires a hands-on approach to sales, where the individual will be responsible for meeting and exceeding revenue quotas for curated deals and audience segments. The successful candidate will act as a technical escalation point for the wider team, translating complex audience products into actionable insights for buying teams and providing feedback to internal engineering departments to drive product improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Own and exceed an individual quota for curated-deal and audience revenue within an assigned holding company.
  • Source, lead, and close curated deal and segment agreements from initial conversation through to commercial terms, taxonomy sign-off, and activation.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and forecast data in CRM systems such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
  • Report on deal status, including activations, segment distribution, spend flow, and resolution of any blockers.
  • Integrate Genius curated deal IDs and PMPs into the packages of the holding company's central trading and curation units.
  • Operate fluently within platforms such as The Trade Desk, DV360, Amazon DSP, Yahoo DSP, and various SSPs.
  • Negotiate deal structures including floor pricing, fees, take rates, scale and match-rate guarantees, and reporting SLAs.
  • Resolve technical issues such as deal-ID hygiene, throughput, win rates, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Ensure Genius segments are distributed, priced, and discoverable across DSP data marketplaces, LiveRamp, Snowflake, and identity frameworks.
  • Map Genius audiences into the holding company's proprietary taxonomy and audience framework.
  • Partner with analytics and data-science teams on clean-room work, modelling, incrementality design, and performance measurement.
  • Provide technical enablement to the pod, including explaining audience construction, pricing, and competitive advantages.
  • Collaborate with Ad Ops, Insights, and Marketing to produce case studies and benchmark reporting.
Requirements
  • 4-6 years in programmatic, curation, audience data, or agency trading on the sell side, at an agency desk, or at a platform, with at least some time spent responsible for revenue rather than only for execution (required).
  • Hands-on fluency in the audience supply chain: deal IDs and curation, DSP and SSP mechanics, data marketplaces and onboarding, identity and match rates, clean rooms, and CPM-versus-data-fee economics (required).
  • Direct experience working with or inside a major HoldCo (WPP, Publicis, or Omnicom) (required).
  • Working relationships at a major holdco's trading, curation, or data teams, or a demonstrable ability to build them quickly at that layer (required).
  • Ability to sell a data product on its merits to buyers who will pressure-test every claim, and to hold your own in a technical conversation with an analytics lead (required).
  • Comfort making complex things simple: you can explain moment-based audience construction to a trading lead who has 11 other meetings that day, without either oversimplifying or losing them (required).
  • Operating discipline: accurate forecasting, clean CRM hygiene (HubSpot or Salesforce), and reliable follow-through on the operational detail that makes deals actually spend (required).
  • Spent time at an agency trading desk, curation platform, SSP, DSP, data provider, or identity company (nice-to-have).
  • Background in sports media, sports data, or fan-engagement products (nice-to-have).
  • Familiarity with clean-room and data-collaboration environments (Snowflake, LiveRamp, InfoSum, Amazon Marketing Cloud) and with attention or outcomes-based measurement (nice-to-have).
  • Experience as the technical specialist inside a pod or account team, supporting sellers who own the senior relationships (nice-to-have).
  • Ad ops or campaign management experience (nice-to-have).
Benefits
  • This role offers an annualized salary of $130,000 - $150,000.
  • Plus variable compensation.
  • Includes eligibility for Genius Sports Group’s benefits plan.
