Middle Procurement Specialist (6 Month Contract)
GR8 Tech is seeking a Middle Procurement Specialist for a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension based on headcount availability and business need. This role exists to maximise value and minimise friction across spend categories. The specialist will help stretch budgets and accelerate operations by taking end-to-end ownership of the procurement pipeline, from requirements to signed contracts and renewals.
The role involves driving cost-saving and cost-avoidance initiatives through vendor negotiations, volume consolidation, and license optimisation. It also includes reviewing active agreements to flag commercial risks and renegotiation opportunities, as well as tracking and reporting key spend metrics, realised savings, vendor performance, and contract renewal pipelines.
The specialist will translate internal stakeholder requests into clear procurement requirements and specifications, conduct market research to identify alternative vendors and benchmark pricing, and lead RFQ/RFP processes with data-backed comparative analyses to guide buy decisions. They will own the complete purchase lifecycle, including vendor sourcing, commercial negotiations, contract routing, and execution, partnering closely with Legal, Finance, and InfoSec to resolve bottlenecks and maintain policy compliance. Management of tracking, subscription renewals, non-renewals, and administrative records within 1C ERP and Jira is also a key responsibility.
Furthermore, the specialist will act as a trusted commercial advisor to internal teams, guiding them through procurement limits and approval workflows, and building pragmatic vendor relationships, resolving operational or billing disputes, and escalating performance failures early.
