FP&A Analyst
Legend is hiring an FP&A Analyst to join its Commercial Finance team and help understand what is really driving performance across its iGaming business. This role involves digging into financial and operational data, building models, and investigating performance to answer commercial questions that influence future business decisions.
The role requires working closely with the Senior FP&A Manager and teams across Product, Commercial, Marketing, and Data to understand how the business works, what drives performance, and where the biggest opportunities and risks sit. It is suited for individuals with strong financial foundations who are naturally curious, analytical, and proactive, and who are comfortable getting into the detail, asking good questions, and using data to get to the bottom of a problem.
- Get under the hood of business performance, analysing the P&L alongside operational and commercial KPIs to understand what's really driving results.
- Build financial models and scenario analysis to assess opportunities, risks, and potential outcomes and support better commercial decisions.
- Turn data into insight, connecting financial and operational information to explain not only what happened, but why it happened and what we should consider doing next.
- Investigate performance proactively, spotting trends, anomalies and questions in the numbers and following them through to understand the underlying drivers.
- Work with teams across Product, Commercial, Marketing and Data to build understanding of the business and provide increasingly valuable financial insight.
- Support forecasting, budgeting and longer-term planning across a diverse portfolio of products and markets.
- Contribute analysis to monthly business performance reviews and communicate findings clearly to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Challenge assumptions and continuously look for smarter ways to model, analyse and understand performance.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) (required).
- Strong financial and analytical foundations gained within FP&A, Commercial Finance, audit, advisory, consulting or a relevant finance programme (required).
- Strong Excel skills and hands-on experience building or working with financial models, forecasts or scenario analysis (required).
- Commercial curiosity, naturally wanting to understand why something has happened rather than stopping at the numbers (required).
- Ability to analyse complex information, identify the important drivers and form a clear point of view (required).
- Proactive mindset and willingness to investigate problems, ask questions and take ownership rather than waiting for all the answers to be provided (required).
- Clear and concise communication skills, with the ability to explain thinking and analysis to others (required).
- Appetite to learn quickly, understand a complex business and develop commercial finance and business partnering skills (required).
- Annual discretionary bonus.
- Paid annual leave.
- Office closure between Christmas and New Year's.
- Exciting global Legend events.
- Engaging development opportunities at all levels.
- Tailored flexibility for work-life balance.
