Automation QA Engineer
Light & Wonder is looking for a QA Automation Engineer to strengthen quality engineering efforts across UI and API testing. The ideal candidate will be hands-on with Selenium/Playwright, experienced with Postman or REST Assured, and driven to contribute to framework enhancements, suggest improvements, and champion quality within an Agile setup.
The role involves designing, enhancing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks for UI and API testing. The successful candidate will develop and maintain automation test scripts in Java, and develop and execute automated regression, smoke, and functional test suites integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities include proactively identifying gaps, suggesting process and framework improvements, and driving adoption of best practices. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to define test strategies, improve coverage, and ensure high-quality releases is key. The role also involves managing test cases, execution results, and reporting in TestRail, participating actively in Agile ceremonies, and mentoring junior QA engineers.
Skills and qualifications include 3-5 years of experience in QA automation and Java programming, proven hands-on experience with Selenium/Playwright for UI automation, and solid experience in API testing using Postman or REST Assured. Experience integrating automation with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI is required, along with familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology and TestRail or similar test management tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential, as is a proactive and detail-oriented approach with a continuous improvement mindset. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
