Senior Automation QA Engineer
Light & Wonder is seeking a Senior Automation QA Engineer to join its digital team. This role focuses on defining and driving QA strategy, test plans, and automation standards to ensure the delivery of high-quality gaming software.
The successful candidate will work within an Agile/Scrum environment, collaborating closely with development, product, and DevOps teams for seamless delivery. The position requires a strong technical background in automation framework design and a commitment to maintaining high standards of software quality.
- Define and drive QA strategy, test plans and automation standards.
- Review test cases, scripts and defect reports.
- Track automation coverage and quality metrics.
- Perform debugging and troubleshooting across manual and automated testing, including defect root-cause analysis and CI/CD pipeline failures.
- Collaborate with Dev, Product, and DevOps for seamless delivery.
- 5-7 years of experience in software testing (required).
- Strong expertise in UI and API automation testing using Selenium or Playwright with Java (Playwright will provide an advantage) (required).
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and automation framework design principles (required).
- Hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum environments (required).
- Proficiency in Git, Jira and qTest or equivalent tools (required).
- Experience integrating automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines (required).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (required).
- Good knowledge of Java and OO software design principles (required).
- Experience with TDD, BDD, Gherkin and Cucumber (required).
- Working knowledge of Linux/Unix OS and Maven build lifecycle (required).
- Experience with CI/CD practices and tools (Jenkins, Docker) (required).
- Good analysis and problem-solving skills (required).
- Experience with Maven and the build lifecycle (required).
- Knowledge of a scripting language (Bash, Python) (nice-to-have).
- Experience with performance/monitoring tools (Prometheus, Gatling, JMeter) (nice-to-have).
