Technical Account Manager

Description

Light & Wonder is looking for a Technical Account Manager based in the Montreal office to help operators gain maximum value and service from the Infinity platform. This role supports the technical success and operational health of operator integrations, covering backend services, frontend integration requirements, and platform features such as promotions and jackpot services.

The Technical Account Manager acts as a trusted technical advisor and the voice of the customer, ensuring that operator needs, constraints, and risks are clearly understood and addressed within Light & Wonder. This is a customer-facing technical leadership role focused on adoption, stability, and long-term platform success rather than sales.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary technical liaison between operators and Light & Wonder.
  • Represent operator needs internally, driving alignment across Product, Engineering, and Operations.
  • Lead clear, structured discussions with operator stakeholders, including senior leadership, on integration approach, technical trade-offs, incidents, operational risks, and platform capabilities.
  • Support operators in adopting and effectively using Infinity platform features, including wallet and API integrations, game launch, frontend integration, promotions, and jackpot configurations.
  • Help define and execute operator success strategies that maximise platform utilisation and value.
  • Proactively monitor and manage the technical health of operator integrations.
  • Identify risks early, such as integration gaps, operational issues, and regulatory constraints, and drive mitigation actions.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex issues, coordinating with Integration Engineers, Operations Support, and Product and Engineering teams.
  • Provide technical guidance and best practices across the integration lifecycle, including onboarding, staging validation, go-live readiness, and post-go-live stability.
  • Support structured troubleshooting and ensure issues are resolved efficiently with clear ownership.
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with operator technical and product teams.
  • Develop a deep understanding of operator business drivers, operational models, and technical constraints.
  • Translate customer feedback into actionable insights for internal teams.
Requirements
  • Three or more years of experience in a technical role, including experience working directly with external customers or clients (required).
  • Hands-on experience integrating or supporting REST/HTTP APIs, including reading API specifications, tracing request and response flows, and diagnosing failures from logs (required).
  • Demonstrated ability to run structured troubleshooting on live systems, isolating problems, gathering evidence, and driving issues to resolution across multiple teams (required).
  • Experience acting as an escalation point for production issues, including communicating status and impact to external stakeholders during an incident (required).
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills, including presenting technical material to senior decision-makers (required).
  • Experience working with distributed teams and external partners across multiple time zones (required).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience (required).
  • Experience in iGaming or another regulated industry, such as payments or financial services (preferred).
  • Familiarity with player wallet or transactional API integration models (preferred).
  • Understanding of how regulatory and territory restrictions shape a technical integration (preferred).
  • Ability to influence and align teams without direct authority (preferred).
  • A commitment to excellence through continuous process improvement (preferred).
