Description

Pin-Up Global is seeking an Atlassian Engineer to manage and optimise their Jira and Confluence environments. The role involves designing and maintaining non-developer project ecosystems, with a specific focus on HR Stream operations such as staff registries, employee lifecycles, compensation and benefits, and internal service desks.

The successful candidate will work within a multicultural team of professionals across various departments. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing business group while ensuring the efficiency and security of internal tooling.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and configure Jira and Confluence.
  • Handle user provisioning, group and role management, and access permissions.
  • Build and optimise Jira Automation rules, workflows, and ScriptRunner scripts.
  • Develop and maintain Groovy scripts that extend Jira and Confluence functionality.
  • Investigate errors in existing automations and deliver fixes.
  • Configure and maintain integrations with third-party tools and internal systems via REST API.
  • Enforce best practices for access, data retention, and permission schemes.
  • Regularly review permission schemes, workflows, and automation rules to remove redundancy and improve efficiency.
  • Participate in Jira/Confluence upgrade activities, including app compatibility checks and post-upgrade validation.
  • Maintain and update internal documentation on configurations, automations, and best practices.
  • Run training sessions or produce guides to improve end-user adoption.
  • Work with developers, project managers, and IT teams to align Atlassian tooling with business processes.
  • Evaluate existing configurations and automations to propose and implement optimisations.
  • Design, automate, and maintain non-developer project ecosystems in Jira, focusing on HR Stream operations.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience administering Jira Data Center (required).
  • Experience configuring workflows, permission schemes, notification schemes, issue types, screens, and custom fields (required).
  • Knowledge of Confluence space and user permissions (required).
  • Proficiency with ScriptRunner and Groovy for validators, post-functions, listeners, scripted fields, and behaviours (required).
  • Ability to write custom scripts (required).
  • Understanding of Jira/Confluence REST APIs and experience building automations (required).
  • Understanding of Jira Data Center indexing, reindex impact, performance of listeners, scheduled jobs, and cluster behaviour (required).
  • Hands-on experience with at least one of: Insight/Assets, Tempo, BigPicture, Xray (required).
  • Experience with solution design and configuration documentation (required).
  • Understanding of Scrum and Kanban (required).
  • Experience upgrading or migrating Jira Data Center / Confluence (required).
  • Experience integrating Jira with external systems via API (required).
  • Experience working in a matrix organisation with multiple stakeholders (required).
  • Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders (required).
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills (required).
  • Ownership of systems, upgrades, and tasks end to end (required).
  • Risk awareness regarding production changes (required).
  • Proactivity in identifying process and configuration improvements (required).
  • Ability to work openly with the team and customers (required).
  • Willingness to share knowledge and provide constructive feedback (required).
