AI Delivery & Operations Manager

Description

This is not just another delivery role. It is an opportunity to shape how AI is delivered at scale across Playtech. The company is looking for an AI Delivery & Operations Manager who can bring structure to fast-paced environments, simplify complexity, and keep a highly technical team aligned and focused. If motivated by delivery, operations, and tangible impact, this role offers a strong platform to contribute.

The role involves taking ownership of agile delivery management, platform operations, and governance, audit & compliance. It also includes driving AI-first ways of working and potentially taking on people leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Running agile delivery cadences for the Central AI team, including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and dependency management.
  • Owning backlog planning, ticket management, assignment, and end-to-end delivery tracking across the team.
  • Defining and delivering documentation processes for the Central AI team and for business units consuming the platform.
  • Leading short, medium, and long-term planning, prioritisation, and reporting for the team.
  • Delivering projects, both fully within the AI Team, but more often including stakeholders and resources from across all Playtech Business Units.
  • Owning monitoring and alerting, incident and problem management, post-mortems, and corrective-action tracking for the Central AI Platform.
  • Hands-on management when incidents arise, and building a culture of safe and compliant AI operations in the AI team and across Playtech.
  • Defining and implementing the processes that enable other Playtech teams to adopt the AI platform safely and at scale, while maximising self-service and innovation.
  • Working closely with Security, Privacy, Service Ops, and business-unit teams to define and implement shared processes.
  • Owning audit documentation, process execution, and evidence management across relevant frameworks, including ISO 27001, Financial ITGCs, and emerging AI standards such as ISO 42001 and the EU AI Act.
  • Driving governance and compliance practices that keep the team and platform operating to the highest standards.
  • Championing AI-first ways of working within the team: wherever possible, automate delivery, operations, and audit workflows using the AI tools and platform the team helps govern.
  • Helping set the standard for AI adoption across Playtech by proving and refining capabilities internally before rolling them out to other business units.
  • Managing members of the Central AI team, depending on experience and interests.
Requirements
  • Proven Agile delivery management experience in a technical engineering environment (required).
  • Solid background in platform operations - monitoring, incident response, problem management, and SRE-style practices (required).
  • Demonstrable experience handling audit and compliance evidence (ISO 27001, ITGCs, or directly comparable frameworks) (required).
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with various stakeholders, such as Playtech Product Units, Security, Compliance, Privacy, Legal, Service Ops, etc teams (required).
  • Genuine knowledge of and enthusiasm for AI systems and solutions (required).
  • Ability to get hands-on with AI tools and build workflows (required).
  • Experience with AI or cloud platforms, particularly GCP AI / Vertex AI (nice-to-have).
  • Exposure to platform onboarding and self-service operating models (nice-to-have).
  • Experience automating delivery and operations workflows using AI tooling (nice-to-have).
Benefits
  • Hybrid working style – work in the modern and comfortable office as well as work from home office.
  • Neat benefits & bonus package.
