Python Software Developer - Algos
Playtech's GenBet unit is looking for a proactive, methodical Software Developer - Algos with excellent communication and problem solving skills to join their team. The role involves developing the Sportsbook product and applications, implementing new features, and maintaining production code. The developer will design innovative solutions to complex problems, contribute to peer code reviews, implement unit tests, and work within an agile development process.
- Develop Sportsbook product and applications.

- 2+ years professional experience using any modern programming language (preferably Python) (required).
- Linux / Unix experience (required).
- Experience of Python (required).
- Experience of developing software in a quantitative environment (required).
- Solid experience with relational databases (required).
- An interest in Open Source technologies (required).
- Experience using Microservices, RESTful APIs, message brokers (e.g. RabbitMQ) (required).
- Experience coding in a statically typed language (nice-to-have).
- Experience writing high-performance CPU bound software (nice-to-have).
- NumPy, Cython, C (nice-to-have).
- Experience of Docker, Kubernetes (nice-to-have).
- Previous commercial experience in Gambling or Sports Betting sector (nice-to-have).
- An outside interest in programming reflected by a blog / portfolio, GitHub, Bit Bucket profile or personal website (nice-to-have).
- Experience coding in a statically typed language
