DevOps Engineer
ARRISE is looking for a DevOps Engineer to play a key role in designing, automating, and operating the infrastructure that powers highly available, large-scale production systems. The role involves working with cloud technologies, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, containerised environments, and observability platforms to ensure services remain reliable, secure, and scalable.
Collaborating closely with Software Engineers and cross-functional teams, the DevOps Engineer will help shape infrastructure architecture, improve deployment processes, and drive operational excellence across the platform. This position is ideal for someone passionate about automation, cloud-native technologies, and solving complex infrastructure challenges at scale.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and best practices.
- Build, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines to support efficient software delivery.
- Improve platform reliability, scalability, availability, and overall system performance.
- Develop and enhance monitoring, logging, and observability solutions to ensure proactive incident detection.
- Work closely with Software Engineers to improve platform reliability, security, performance, and deployment workflows.
- Own infrastructure solutions from design through production and contribute to the long-term platform architecture.
- Respond to production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive improvements.
- Support Customer Support teams by providing deep technical expertise during complex production issues.
- Continuously identify opportunities to automate manual operational processes and improve engineering efficiency.
- Hands-on experience with Linux system administration and troubleshooting in production environments (required).
- Production experience with AWS (required).
- Experience with other cloud platforms (nice-to-have).
- Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools, specifically Terraform and Ansible (required).
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Docker Compose (required).
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and Amazon EKS (required).
- Hands-on production experience with HashiCorp Vault (required).
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and/or Jenkins (required).
- Hands-on experience with Git and GitLab (required).
- Solid scripting skills using Bash and Python (required).
- Experience with Groovy for Jenkins Pipelines (required).
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, metrics, logging, and audit solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, AWS CloudTrail, or equivalent (required).
- Ability to independently own infrastructure initiatives, make technical decisions, and deliver solutions from design to production with minimal supervision (required).
- Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher English (required).
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Entra ID (SSO) (nice-to-have).
- Experience working with Java-based applications in production environments (nice-to-have).
- Familiarity with distributed SQL and NoSQL databases (nice-to-have).
- Experience configuring and working with NGINX, Kafka, CDN technologies, or DDoS protection solutions (nice-to-have).
- Experience supporting high-availability production environments (nice-to-have).
- Monthly salary from 5000 EUR to 8000 EUR gross/per month.
