Senior Accountant
SoftConstruct is on the search for a new player to join their team as a Senior Accountant.
This role involves leading the recording of complex daily financial transactions and managing the preparation of financial statements to ensure executive-level accuracy. The Senior Accountant will also drive month-end and year-end closing processes, direct tax return preparation and filing, and evaluate internal control processes.
Further responsibilities include supervising Accounts Receivable & Payable workflows, developing revenue projections and expenditure forecasting, performing variance analysis, and acting as the primary liaison for audits. The role also spearheads the development and automation of accounting systems and procedures to increase departmental efficiency, and carries out high-level strategic duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
- Lead the recording of complex daily financial transactions in strict compliance with IFRS and local regulations.
- Manage and review the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure executive-level accuracy.
- Drive and oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, implementing strategies to reduce closing cycles.
- Direct the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns, including VAT and income tax, ensuring zero-penalty compliance.
- Evaluate and strengthen internal control processes and accounting policies to safeguard company assets.
- Supervise Accounts Receivable & Payable workflows, optimizing cash flow and maintaining high-level vendor relationships.
- Develop sophisticated revenue projections and expenditure forecasting, and lead budget monitoring and fiscal planning.
- Perform deep-dive variance analysis and present strategic risk assessments for management review.
- Act as the primary liaison for internal and external audits, resolving complex findings and ensuring clean audit reports.
- Spearhead the development and automation of accounting systems and procedures to increase departmental efficiency.
- Carry out high-level strategic duties assigned by the immediate supervisor that align with the senior job description and comply with the labor code.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (required).
- Master’s degree or professional certification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) (preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, accounting, or auditing (required).
- Fluency in Armenian, English (required).
- Expert proficiency in maintaining general ledgers and preparing complex financial statements according to IFRS and Armenian local regulations (required).
- Prior experience in a senior role within a multinational or large corporate finance environment (preferred).

- Strong knowledge of RA Tax Code and Labor Code (required).
- Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization (required).
